Dear sir, majority go by the tradition just because of the perceived prestige with these groups, which tells us what their true priority in life is: pursuing something as hollow as prestige to satisfy their egos than anything else. No wonder what a mess this country is in.
I am not saying I'm right and majority are wrong. The preferences, if rationally written, are extremely variable. But only when humans write them, not sheep who only need grass in all the world. Majority may very well be misleading, who guarantees they are not?
DMG is one group, according to the words of Sohail Safdar, where you are into policy formulation at a very early stage in ur career. And lets face it,a part of u and a part of me wants to join this service for the prestige attached with it.Who wouldn't like prestige.I personally like DMG and PSP because in this way I can be of some help, and can provide some relief to the common man directly.

Everybody in their own groups will be in policy making after grade 19 or 20. Group choices depend on your goals. People I know were fond of money and wanted to be millionaires and even more than so they joined PAAS and Tax (IRS), their earning and wealth is 500 times bigger than their DMG friends. DMG is nice group but if BPS-19 DMG officers are fade up than remains nothings to comment.

My dear friend I will not say anything about any other group but being an auditor in an autonomous body I had a lot of interaction with PAAS' CSPs and I want to tell you here that the corruption of this magnitude (as told by you) is not possible there.
Come on brother accept the realities we are not here to win an argument but for seeking and providing guidance.

Well dont know wo kon se DMG officers hain..the ones I have met are more than happy in their group and they, although wrongly, believe and say that there is no other service group in CSS.I mean they are so damn proud of this group. So,dont know what DMG officers were those who were unhappy with DMG.But I still think if given chance to change DMG for PAAS,they would never do it:pp

Cheema bhai I am not defending a massive corruption in PAAS and IRS but PAAS and Grade 18 tax offical are my relatives and I know what they were before and after the job. Please finish this discussion.
Salik bhai please disregard my views if you don't like them.

Please go through only this thread (besides the CTP subforum) and see what the seniors and CSPs have reccomended regarding preferences. Even if you people still do not want to accept the realities then no one can compel to do so.

There is a thing called hypocracy that is when one aspires for something and do not get it then he/she start to befool himself that this was not worth of me and blah blah blah, we can also call it sour grapeism. May be the CSPs of PAAS and IRS etc whom these people have met were victim of this:pp. Thats why they termed these groups better than DMG,PSP and FSP only to misguide others.

Agreed

Cheema and Hamza

I think I committed a mistake by sharing the views of DMG officers and abnormal corruption of IRS and PAAS officers with all at forum. Wahtever you say but I know there is a very big corruption in IRS and PAAS because I knows my relatives inside out. Kindly end this debate.

dear i appreciate ur effort......but i dont think so that mr. arfinit n mr. natiq are getting our point...so just relax n chill IT IS USELESS TO CAST PEARLS......

my merit is 74, away from DMG...but still i m not overwhelmed with SOUR GRAPISM....and i know n admit the charms(no matter how much problems r associated with them) linked with DMG,PSP,FSP......

this was never a war of arguments but TRUE PRESENTATION OF FACTS IS EXPECTED FROM ALL ON THIS FORUM.

goodluck
