Hilary Clinton wrote an article in which she described the principles and objectives of America's Asia Pacific policy. This article was published in Novemebr 2011 but no perceptible change in America's policy has been observed since then .The unusual eagerness with witch America wishes to control this region can be comprehended by reading Hilary's statement;The future of politics will be decided in Asia, not Afghanistan or Iraq, and the United States will be right at the center of the action"

Obama's Asia Pacific policy is an overt contain-china policy. It has been formulated on six principles which are as follows
1.strengthening bilateral security alliances;
2.deepening working relationships with emerging powers, including with China
3.engaging with regional multilateral institutions
4.expanding trade and investment
5.forging a broad-based military presence
6.advancing democracy and human rights
Relations with her Alliance in Asia Pacific are based on following three principles which are mentioned below
1.to maintain political consensus on the core objectives of our alliances.
2.to ensure that alliances are nimble and adaptive so that they can successfully address new challenges and seize new opportunities
3.to guarantee that the defense capabilities and communications infrastructure of our alliances are operationally and materially capable of deterring provocation from the full spectrum of state and nonstate actors.
America aims at putting strain on China by surrounding it by American allies in the region and giving them enormous military aid, by participating vigilantly in the activities of regional organizations and interfering in the regional conflicts.
America has turned Southeast China sea into a future war-zone. The consequences of this policy are appalling as America is helping regional states to increase their build-up of military capabilities.The peace of the region will be disturbed and If the peace of Asia Pacific is disturbed, the whole Asia will be in a state of turmoil.

The impact of this policy on Pakistan has been discussed in Dr Maleeha Lodhi's column " Our Security Calculus". ( it's not a detailed account of the impact of America's Asia Pacific Policy on Pakistan,though)
