Arrow is it necessary to memorize so long list of idioms....

is it necessary to memorize so long list of idioms, synonyms and pair of words?
Don't it take too much time for 15 number unforseen word game?

Is it not good to only go through some of them and invest our time on other things instead?

Plz advice

It is all game of marks so one must have to take pain to earn.Try to do them on daily basis even 10 or 20,they don't take much time.

Well one can't say from where those idioms and pair of words come.
However, as well as pair of words are concerned, I have found Exploring the world of English the best book.
I prepared from it in my maiden attempt and was able to attempt atleast five .
For idioms , I used the book "To the Point " by Prof. Aftab.
And with the grace of Almighty ,I was successful in penning down 5 idioms in paper. Moreover , this book helped me in correction also.
Owing to all these I was able to bag 71 marks in composition paper.
