Direct:
"If I was younger, I would accept it." - He thought that
Indirect:

-----if he had been younger, he would have accepted it. (mine)
or
if he had been younger, he would accept it. (mine as well)
or
if he was younger, he would accept it. (bookish)

He thought that if he had been younger, he would have accepted it. ( correct)
Because whole tense is past HE THOUGHT.
If it was as HE THINKS...., the CORRECT ANSWER WILL BE as:
He thinks that if he were younger, he would accept it.

It is useless to buy this book.
He gets employed in bank.
He was elected as the president of the country.
It is unlikely that he will win the race.or It is unlikely that he wins the race.
I am not among those who does not describe what i do not see.
Arrange the subject into two heads.
She has a great command over english.
There is no use of buying this book.
He got an employment in the bank.
He was elected the president of the country.
I have got headache.
I received a reply in affirmative.
It is unlikely that he wins the race.
He brought the articles to the market which he wanted to sell.
Who shall i thank for this fine gift?.
He was displeased with my going away.
I am one of those who cannot describe what i do not see.
There is a short interval between each act of the drama.
He does nothing but complains.
The general invaded the enemy.
The general invaded the enemy.
incorrect because generals never invade infact orders
so correct sentence would be
The general ordered to invade enemy's territory.
Reason he ordered to invade a place.
incorrect
He brought the articles to the market which he wanted to sell.
correct
The articles, which he wanted to sell, was brought to the market.

non identifying clauses are those clause that tell us something additional about the subject and extra information labelled as adjective clause is separated by comma. Here in the sentence adjective clause is "which he wanted to sell" and is non essential as well.

He was displeased with my going away.
i am failed to understand the context of this sentence.Help me to explain this sentence.:con
He does nothing but complains.
Let we split the sentence into
1.He does nothing
2.but complains
since both parts are independent clauses and can stand by its own.Such clauses are joined by comma except other than this i've seen no mistake.
so correct sentence would be
He does nothing,but complains.
Remember here word complains is a main verb of subject "he".
there is a very different atmosphere in the town this morning than there was yesterday.
ii) Every one must decide themselves what to do about it.
iii) I will not be surprised if he doesn’t turn up tomorrow.
iv) Neither Farooq nor Akbar are going to the wedding lunch on Saturday.
v) I compared his essay with Mushtaq’s and found them to be almost identical.
there is a very different atmosphere in the town this morning than there was yesterday.
ambiguity of place i.e. the town's morning atmosphere was different than which place of yesterday atmosphere.'There' is less formal and it is forbidden in formal writings.
so my suggestion is,sentence should be
The morning atmosphere of the town was very different than it was on yesterday.
incorrect:Neither Farooq nor Akbar are going to the wedding lunch on Saturday.
Here the subject is neither which takes singular form so very easy to correct
Neither Farooq nor Akbar is going to the wedding lunch on Saturday.

incorrect:
I will not be surprised if he doesn’t turn up tomorrow.
future action with respect to future follows simple present tense for time tables of trains, hotels, and tv shows. Here we are talking about a person so it is incorrect also there is some sense of certainty not 100% surity, so sentence must be
I would not be surprised if he doesn’t turn up tomorrow.
or
if he doesn't turn up tomorrow, i wouldn't be surprised.
remember contractions are less formal in writings. so contractions could also be corrected.
incorrect:Every one must decide themselves what to do about it.
every one is singular reflexive pronoun and singular verb.A kind of subject
verb agreement.also identifying clause is there,so no need to put the coma in the middle of the sentence.
correct sentence:Every one must decides onself what to do about it.

incorrect:
I compared his essay with Mushtaq’s and found them to be almost identical.
correct:When i compared his essay with that of Mushtaq,i found both of them identical.
Paper is made from wood.
I put my minimum effort to correct some mistakes, and i hope if there are some mistakes left from my side will be corrected by others. In this manner we can be able to learn.
Incorrect
(2) Shall you not take my word in this matter?
Shall you not take my words in this matter?
OR Will you not take my words in this matter?
Correct
Aren't you taking my word in this matter?
Reason:we use present continuous for the action that is going to be happened in the near future as well as

the sentence is a type of 'negative question which always begins with 'negative of auxiliaries'.

incorrect:
(6) It is high time they mend this road.
It is high time that they mend this road.
OR It is high time to mend this road.

Correct sentence would be,
It's time they mended this road.
it suggest the meaning that road is already depreciated and it has been long time since it is not repaired.

incorrect
(7) I heard him went down the stairs.
I heard him going down the stairs.

Correct sentence would be,While i was going down the stairs,i heard his voice.
or
I heard his voice;while,i was going down the stairs.

dependent clause(d.C)and independent clauses(I.C.) are joined by subordinate conjunction(S.C) and here in this sentence 'however' is used as s.c.
Structure of the sentence is
IC+;+S.C.+D.C OR S.C+D.C+,+I.C

(5) Neither he nor I are in the wrong.
Neither he nor I am in the wrong.
Both are incorrect, because in the aforementioned sentence word 'wrong' is acting as an adjective e. so concluded that i'am wrong is subject complement.
in such sentences we immediately place adjective or noun or gerund.
correct sentence would be; Neither he nor i am wrong.

incorrect
Paper is made of wood.
The paper is made of wood.
Both are incorrect,Because it reads as wood is made through paper.
Like threads are made from clothes
correct sentence would be,paper is made from wood.
