THANKS.
Verbs which take an object are usually called transitive verbs. Verbs which do not take an object are usually called intransitive verbs.

Many English verbs can be used either intransitively or transitively. For instance, in the sentence Most birds can fly, the verb to fly is intransitive, since it is used without an object. But in the sentence This pilot will fly the plane, the verb to fly is transitive, since it takes the object plane.

Hope this helps

Dear Brother

I'm not very sure of a good teacher in Islamabad as I have never had an English tuition but most of the people from Islamabad/Rawalpindi prefer NUML H-9 for this purpose.

Still again, this is just an observation and not a personal experience

May be some other member can guide you better on this

Regards

Dear Mr. Imran Ali .

I think there is no need to get any assistance for learning english. I suggest you for paying much concentration on reading materials i.e Daily Dawn, The Nation and Oxford English Grammer book. They are enough for imoproving english as well. I also suggest you for listening BBC in order to imorove your listening skills. I'm a new junior member here, and also I'm not adept in writting english. No matter, where I'm but hard work will take me to the top. Because, I'm trying to improve my english regualarly with the assistance of this forum.

JazaKallah.

I Banker.

Brother as I don't really know a good teacher who is also willing to provide personal guidance, so I won't be able to help you through this.

The suggestions to improve your English skills through your own efforts is always a good one. I think you should begin to read the English journals and more importantly begin to think speak and write in English for that purpose, until you find a teacher if you really feel is necessary.
