@mashal Khan
Literally the word " felicitous" means chosen well & very suitable which gives a good result. so a felicitous phrase is one which gives a perfect meaning & diction of something. eg
" 1. The quintessence of wit lies in conciseness." so if we want to reproduce the felicitous phrase of this sentence then it will be sth like this
"Brevity is the soul of wit."

" 2.The basis of oratory is force"
felicitous phrase will be
"Energy is the soul of oratory."

Next day Amy was rather late at school; but could not resist the temptation of displaying, with pardonable pride, a moist brown-paper parcel. From "Little Women"

Notwithstanding a slight resistance on the part of Monte Cristo, whose lips turned pale, but who preserved his ceremonious smile, Andrea seized the count's hand, pressed it, jumped into his phaeton, and disappeared. From "The Count of Monte Cristo"

And aye, methinks, this hoary Pile,
Subdued by outrage and decay,
Looks down upon her with a smile,
A gracious smile, that seems to say,
"Thou, thou art not a Child of Time,
But Daughter of the Eternal Prime!"

From "The White Doe of Rylstone"

Smile

The beauty of the words and their expressiveness(Plato).

It is evident that those words are more agreeable to the ear which are composed of smooth and liquid sounds and where there is a proper intermixture of vowels and consonants. Vowels give softness and consonants give strenght to the sound of words.(Blair)

So felicitous words are the words which show more beauty and they are more intrestring to listen to. Thier expression makes a person to fall for it.

As shakespares writes

"He is the rock, the oak not to be wind-shaken"
