The articles (a, an, the)[/B]

[B]Reason [/B] we place [B]the[/B] before an adjective in the second(comparative) degree when one person is to be shown of two
1) Mahmood was Napoleon of Asia.

[B]Reason [/B] we place [B]the[/B] before a proper noun when we went to describe a person through it by comparing it with another person.
1) She is Shy girl.

2) We bought pen, Pencil and Ink pot.
We bought a pen, a Pencil and a Ink pot.
[B]Reason [/B] we place the indefinite article [B]a[/B] or [B]an[/B] before a noun in the singular number.
1) I need a apple and banana.

[B]Reason [/B] we place the article [B]an[/B] before a word beginning with a vowel and giving the vowel sound and [B]A [/B]word beginning with a consonant( any letter other than a,e,o,u which are vowels).
1) He is M.A while his friend is B.A.

[B]Reason [/B] [B]An[/B] is placed before a word whose first sound is the vowel, sound of(a,e,i,o,u) [B]A[/B] is used before a word whose first sound is the sound of a consonant(of any other letter than of the vowels)

[B]Reason [/B] we generally do not place [B]the[/B] definite article before a proper noun.
