first of all at initial stage try to write paragraphs. you should know the technical rules of paragraph writing. because essay is combination of paragraphs . so if you know the A B Cs of paragraph writing ,surely after it you can compile a good essay.

Default Babu bhaiyaa: I can help you :)

Hi Babbu Bhai.
So, as a matter of fact Essay is not something that you learn; it is just a style of writing and expressing relevant knowledge about a topic. there is no standard methodology of writing a good essay. Discover your own style and practice it.
First thing you must do is to take a topic and just write down about it whatever you can think about it or relate it to. Just try to make points about it in Urdu or whatever your native language is. This is called clustering. I can send you some photos if you want. Write down all the information on a page and after you feel like you have done so, try to arrange that information in a right order. Stay relevant and don't stray away from topic.
For example: If you are writing about something like "How to wash a car" Don't make a point that "Ford is an American based Motor company while Ferrari is Italian based" This annoys examiner.

These things are required for writing a good essay
1. Good Ideas... Fair knowledge 2. Relevancy and coherence... 3. Good command over language....
Don't run after vocabulary or try to replacing your prose with difficult words. Don't think that if someone writes difficult words in his/her prose, he is a better writer than you. Try to build your Ideas and analysis.

Try and Practice. Only Pen, paper and Internet connection can make you good essay writer.

If you need any sort of help, you can PM me at facebook or just email me.

Babuu Bhai
Introduction means that you have to elaborate the given topic. You take the topic statement and develop a thesis about it. You tell examiner that what is your say on the topic provided and what you have understood from the statement. So you have to extract maximum information from the topic statement about which you are going to write an essay.
For example:
World as a global village: Learning to live together.

There can be number of interpretations of abovementioned statement. Lot of essays you find in CSS paper will be open ended statements. In the case of this topic lets see what information we can extract.
1. Technological/ Scientific Revolution has turned this world into a place where distances have diminished as a result of which:
a. Economic
b. Cultural
c. Political
d. educational
e. virtual

closeness has spurred. So without Learning to live together, no survival can be ensured.
2. Due to the fact that World has become a global village our survival has become more and more collective; vulnerabilities have increased and either we live or perish together.
3. Some might have taken it differently.

The thing is to rightly interpret the topic given and justify it. Don't let anyone tell you that you should have done it like this or that. ( Avoid Idiomatic Essays because they have strictly one dimensional interpretation )

After understanding your topic, in introduction, you write what do you say about this topic. You have to make all the main points ( you explain these points later in the body of essay) .
