help needed abt essay material

I want to know where should the essay topics be prepared from? I'm not asking about the essay pattern, but the material the essay contains.

It's obvious that a 2,500 word essay cannot be written without preparation, because it needs a lot of material. Can you people (esp. seniors) tell me the names of the books/magazines/notes which you studied for the essay paper. If you prepared it from the newspaper, please specify the name of the page, because as far as I think, newspapers do not help much for essay writing. I am talking about topics like global warming, rights of women, Peace message of Islam etc.

Secondly, how to start the essay? Is there any special way of opening the essay? I mean, what did you write in the first few lines of your essay?

Dear if you take my opinion I shall recommend you to read extensively the Dawn newspaper' editorial; wach Aljazeera, BBC, and Dawn newschannels frequently. Read good english extensively, and to make better your english study english grammar books especially Exploring the world of english and High school grammar and composition.

In essay paper examiner only wants to see whether you can express your ideas and the information in good, expressive and correct english or not. Don't pay heed to the number of words, but never ignore the quality, what matters.

As far as the collection of material is concerned its easy. Some of the members have posted their essays on the topics you mentioned. Go thoroughly through those threads, I hope you will find the relevent topics easily.
