Do we have to give every paper in second attempt in case of previous failed paper?

The same topic me selected too' n got 50 ' but without study' given my own argument' about 10 pages

I wrote 1300 words on great nations..got 40
almost 5 pages(sides), outline was comprehensive
Though not satisfied with my essay marks.. was expecting more than this..I thought word count didnt matter alot, apparently I was wrong.
