Basically, there are two main reasons for this against islam: i. This is a viscous propaganda which has been unleashed by western media and western rulers. ii. On the other hand, this is also the result of irrational,un reasonable and extremists activities of some of the misguided Muslim outfits. Jihad has been the mere misunderstand word and is only taken for violence and fighting. Basically jihad stands for Goodness and struggle with in oneself and society. There is another propaganda going on that muslims become violent as soon as they grew in numbers. As far as this criticism is concerned there were some fundamental reasons for fighting wars. How theoretically islam has preached peace 1. first of all islam recognizes all the civilizations of world 2. Islam does not allow the use of force in the matter of faith. 3. islam condemns lawlessness 4. Islam condemns extremism of all kind 5. islam calls reconciliation through negotiation a victory 6. islam prefers forgiveness over revenge 7. war is the only last option in islam 8. Islam gives full rights to zimmnies Practical aspects followed by the Muslims to preach peace. 1. Madina Agreement with Jews 2. Sullah hudabia 3. Exemplary attitude of muslims at the conquest of Makkah 4. Conquest of Jerushalam 5. Muslim tolerant and peace ful rule in spain 6. Muslim ruler Salhuddine attitude during the crusades 7. Muslim Rule in India Islam has promoted peace by introducing certain reforms with in society at political, economic and social fronts. [B]A.[/B] Political reforms 1. No opposition in islam 2.
