Asalam o alaykum, please check my essay outline. This is my first ever outline. Its been tough. Please give feedback and correct me without hesitation. But please dont discourage much :p

I think the following points require further thought:

Limits and demerits of science:
Dependent on observation, experimentation and proof - This is a limit, but reality as well. All knowledge is knowledge through experience; there is no a-priori knowledge.

No regard for emotions; No regard for spiritual growth of humanity - You mean the institution of science should be incorporated with ethics/religion?

It's a well thought-out outline. I think it's good not to limit the subject-matter to the scientific age alone.

Brother please tell me the choice of better words in outline. I just feel better words can be chosen.

I have discusssed so many points in this essay. For example, in the misuse of inventions point, i mentioned how graphics softwares can be misused to change realities and be used as evidence against individuals or to make them infamous. Kher. I feel i am really new to essay writing. Its been ages since i wrote one. Last essay i remember writing was in general paper of A levels way back in 2004 :p

Please share ur outline if u can.

I do not remember the exact outline now. However, I can provide you a broad conceptual outline.

I began by defining human suffering and its causes, after which, I went on to discuss the scientific age and its effects on ethics/morals (both positive and negative). I wrote about technology and the political, philosophical and economic theories: communism, capitalism, pragmatism, logical positivism, etc.

Some words on human nature; the desire for freedom. In the physical sense, freedom can be maximized by either maximizing power or minimizing wants. The former meaning of freedom applies to the elites, who maximize their freedom at the expense of the average citizen. The poor people, the developing States, are always exploited by the rich class and developed States.

Further, that man is not often content with what he has got. With the advent of scientific age, for instance, man wanted a house, a car, and the wants keep multiplying at the expense of psychological relief.

I then explained that human suffering has existed throughout the recorded history of mankind in the form of wars; that man has an inherent potential for domination over others - the survival instincts dominate; and that scientific age, with its modern technology and warfare, has amplified man's potential for destruction. For instance, the world wars; the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki; the current world political scenario.

Some words on religion and religious ideals.

In short, man is responsible for his misery - the scientific age has, indubitably, contributed towards the betterment of mankind; it has also supplemented the destructive potential of mankind in the form of modern weapons.

That is a really nice attempt bro. U wrote a very balanced essay. U avoided being categorical. U mentioned both positive and negative aspects of science. And in the enf u did great critical analysis. I lacked this approach. I became emotional and at times completely bashed science. Thankyou brother for making me realise my mistakes. However i dont see how discussing economic systems of communism, capitalism etc fit in the topic of the essay. But u R a veteran. So u can better tell.
