I believe it would be mediocre neither too conventional nor too common.

The language of the essay should be normal, you can use some related vocabulary otherwise there is no need to make it tougher because the language does not matter but your arguments matter a lot. The essay should be well constructed, sentence structure should be reasonably good and there should be coherence between the paragraphs. Regards.

Put yourself in the shoes of examiner. You will not like a candidate forcing you to consult dictionary by using difficult words. You will rather like the one with simple yet effective choice of words that does not break your flow of reading.

It is always better to strike the golden mean when choosing the words for English essays. I mean you should combine simple and complicated words and structures. Einstein said “Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler”. In my opinion, this principle works well for English essays. Keep it simple whenever possible – use short words and simple sentences. However, at the same time never use slang or contractions in your papers. Don’t forget that what’s ok for text messages on Facebook can be bad for essays.

Default @ asma

Aasma ji u are still on potter's wheel of 'Tense' ! Dont be tensed about tense.
Do write natural, use the tense as u writing in. In conclusion try to be in the 13th tense.

I was in a bit of dilemma regarding this, I agree that this should be the logical way to go. But then again, the examiner might perceive you as simple?
