great nations wins without fighting
well i opted for great nations wins without fighting....as against tradition and despite being asked by examiner i started the essay without drawing a outline....my introductory lines were rather longer and more philosophical than simple...i wrote in favour of the topic....i supported my the thesis para by quoting examples from history beginning from sulah e hudaibia, also known as fath e mubeen( victory without fighting)... which i believe has a best impression on examiner...then de
scribed the lenient behaviour of akbar which made him and the mughals great....proceeded to non violent struggle against British raj...since these days govt was in talks with taliban to bring peace i ended my essay bt writing in favour of negotiations.......I got 40 marks for all these...gud luck

Great Nations Win Without Fight 01. Preamble 02. Defining 'Great Nation' 03. Different Concepts about 'Great Nation' a) Of Middle Eastern People b) Of European People b) Of Indian People c) Of American People 04. Democratic Traditions 4.1 Purpose of Government 4.2 Nature of Accountability 05. Autocratic Traditions 5.1 Nature of Government 5.2 Characteristics of Nation 06. Major Causes of Conflicts a) To Win Over a Situation b) Ideological Clash c) Power Expansion 07. Analysis of Causes - Today's Perspective 08. Conflict Avoidance Strategies 8.1 National Development 8.2 Democratic Strength 8.3 Effective Diplomacy 8.4 Strategic Alliances 8.5 Proclamation of Neutrality - For Peace 8.6 Portfolio Investment 09. Redefining 'Great Nation' 9.1 Criteria for Redefining 9.2 Nations Reaching Win-Win Situation 10. Conclusion I wasn't very much happy with this outline though, I successfully managed to secure 50 marks. The reason why I wasn't satisfied with this outline is that I often get confused by such topics that are open to wide discussion and different interpretation. In 2013, I got 45 marks, and this year 50. As per my experience, I recommend all not to pick generic topics Congratulations to all the qualified aspirants of CSS!

Higher Education.....
i wrote on the theme line that Unchecked and uncontrolled privatization of higher education has really hampered the quality of Higher educations. Privatization, no doubt, is necessary for the growth of higher educations but strong checks and minimum required criteria needs to be placed on it by regulatory bodies like PEC, HEC, PMDC etc. Thats what I remember as I wrote totally extempore. As far as I believe I wrote less than 2000 words as in end I was quite worried that I wrote less. short sentences, simple words, no facts, no figures. Just a simple argumentative approach. |
