1,NASA launched 8 years mission mission in solar system name of that mission is DAWN

2 it has reached in its first round in GIANT ASTEROID VESTA

3 DAWN has to study 16000 km of ASTEROID VESTA'S surface.

4 till today DAWN has traveled 188 million km from earth

5 project cost is $ 466 million

6 CHRISTOPHER RUSSEL IS DAWN'S principal investigator.

7 after one year observation from ASTEROID VESTA DAWN will deport for its second destination DWARF PLANET CERES IN JULY 2012.

8 DAWN'S main object is to work on early history of solar system.

9 DAWN will measure surface composition, topography and texture of solar system.

10 DAWN will also measure the TUG of gravity from ASTEROID VESTA and CERES to learn more about their internal structure.

11 the DAWN has GAMA RAY and neutron detector instrument. it will also gather information on COSMIC RAYS.
