Post Types of mountains

there are four types of mountains
fold mountains: these mountains are mainly made up of folded strata of sedimentary rocks.These rocks are folded when they are compressed.These are the highest mountains of the world e.g the alps ,the himalayas, rockies

Block mountains: These are parts of the earth's crust which have been uplifted due to the earth's movement along the line of weakness called faults.

Residual mountains: these are formed by the differences in the rates of erosion.

Volcanic mountains: These mountains are formed by accumulation of material erupted from the interior of the earth
