Adequate answer length

Please guide me about the adequate length of an answer for an islamiat quetsion. I understand that it will vary from person to person, but broadly speakig how many words should be written to be considered as a an adequate length for the answer to a theoretical question.

One of my senior friend got 72 marks in Islamiat. He took paper in English, and his writing was not so good. He attemted all questions, and the length of each answer was 6-7 pages. I also think, it is sufficient. I cannot guess how many words one can write in these pages.
