Sahibain:
Two pupils of Imam Abu Hanifa, Imam Abu Yusuf and Imam Muhammad, are known as Sahibain. They were Mujtahids in their own right due to their proficiency and expertise in Fiqh, Usul Fiqh, Tafseer, Usul Tafseer, Hadith, Ilm Hadith, Naaskih and Mansukh, Seerah, Lugha and Balagha. Ashra Mubashra: Ashra Mubashra are ten companions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who were guaranteed heaven by Allah S.W.T. during their lifetime. 1. Abu Bakar As Siddiq R.A (Passed away: 634) 2. Umar Al Khattab R.A (643) 3. Uthman bin Affan R.A (655) 4. Ali bin Abi Talib R.A (660) 5. Talhah bin Ubaidillah R.A (656) 6. Zubair bin Al Awwam R.A (656) 7. Abdul Rahman bin Auf R.A (652) 8. Saad bin Abi Waqas R.A (674) 9. Abu Ubaidah bin Al Jarrah R.A (639) 10. Said bin Zaid R.A (671) The Two Masters [al-Bukhari and Muslim] narrated from A'isha (RA) that the Prophet said to her: "Call your father and brother [Abd al-Rahman] here so I will put something down in writing, for truly I fear lest someone forward a claim or form some ambition, and Allah and the believers refuse anyone other than Abu Bakr." Al-Hakim narrated - declaring it sahih - from Ibn Masud (RA) who said the Prophet said: "A man from the dwellers of Paradise is about to come into your sight." Whereupon Abu Bakr came and sat among them. The Prophet had already given him the glad tidings of Paradise before that occasion. Meaning: When he said: "Abu Bakr is in Paradise, Umar is in Paradise, Uthman is in Paradise, Ali is in Paradise, Talha is in Paradise, al-Zubayr [ibn al-Awwam] is in Paradise, Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf is in Paradise, Sa`d [ibn Abi Waqqas], Sa`id [ibn Zayd ibn Amr] is in Paradise, and Abu Ubayda ibn al-Jarrah is in Paradise." Some common traits of the Ashara Mubashara: All became Muslim in the early years of Islam. They made great service to the Prophet and the Islamic cause. They migrated. They participated in the battle of Badr. They swore allegiance to the Prophet at Hudaybiya. There are many narrations in hadith sources regarding their virtues. Sources of sound hadiths begin with narrations on these Companions.
