Amid resounding but misinformed indeed, rumours, as to the rejection of the Pettition, I would like to update the fellow affectees in particular and other members of this invaluable forum in general, that LHC has issued notices to FPSC stating reasons to be furnished for such miscarraige of merit it caused. The next date, fixed for hearing is near National Independence Day. I am quite sanguine that this date would be a fateful day! Furthermore, It is stated that we are accessing some valuable documents bearing ample evidentiary value in the court of law. I, request other members to help us provide valuable information classified or declassified if any to strengthen the case.
It is, with due respect, pertinent to inform Mr. Samiullah that despite summer vacation in LHC, the fixation of date for hearing and issuence of notices is a great success!

THIS is apropos of a series of letters and news items being published in Dawn regarding the FPSC and CSS examinations. For example, a letter titled ‘A victim of FPSC’ (Aug 14), and a news item ‘Glitch forces revision of CSS results’ (June 19) highlighted this issue.

I am astonished that the FPSC has failed to take any step to redress the grievances of candidates who put their life at stake while preparing for the Central Superior Services examination, and despite qualifying it are not being offered any posts.

The incident regarding the CSS examinations 2009 seems even more horrible and equally unprecedented in the FPSC’s history as it has altered the positions of one-third out of a total number of 900 candidates.

Prompted by innumerable gross anomalies committed in the compilation of CSS results 2009, a number of aggrieved candidates have sought justice through writ petition No.15132-10 under the title Khizar Mohsin Shah and others versus FPSC, the proceedings of which are regularly going on in the court of law.

May I request the electronic and print media to highlight this matter of national importance by giving live coverage of court proceedings and conducting interviews of all stakeholders. It would help generate a debate followed by possible evaluation of consensus in parliament.
