Key to Success

Dear Members,
No doubt it all depends on luck, but luck is a machine on which relience can be made after hard work, in my humble opinion i would recommend following things
1.Be Honest:confused:
2. Get rid of un necessary things like "agar mai paa na hoa to kia hoga"
3.Have unflinching faith in Allah
4.U have a personality of your own so, choose subjects which u like not those recommended by a CSP, if u have a natural tendency for law u cannot perform in litrature:cow
5.Draw your twos matrix ( Threat Weakness Opportunity Strength)
6.Try to be simple in your writting u jus cant vomit the GRE or all the idioms you know
7.Answer things in relevant technical terminology.
8. Examiner is as lazy as you can think of yourself, dont try to test him, use easy words, people hate to read Irfan Hussain's column in Dawn cuz it forces you to open dictinary four times in singel line.
9.Be argumentative support your answer with logic
10. U r not suppose to know every thing in the world
11.Keep date sheet before u while deciding ur optionals, rest is very necessary for ricky ponting to score a double ton in every second series, so as you.
12. Never underestimate your self, dont follow people blindly
13.Say your prayer, recite Holy Quran, or perform your religious ceremonies if you are not Muslim, it ll help you to improve your composure, and trust in Allah
14. Pray daily for forgivendevil for his success in interview and good score in CSS 2008.:angle

@ms.bushra

well, knowledge has no boundries and subjects are overlapping. in my opinion a css candidate should have a broader mindset with clearity of concepts, while reading. and while writing in the exam, one's mind must not be restricted to specific outline or the knowledge of that very subject or book, rather one should apply one's mind and put logic, discussion and reasoning by using one's broader mindset, having extra-notes knowledge. because examiner's knowledge is not restricted to those books which one would have read for preparation. use ur active mind and put ur best in the answer. believe me meny times, use of ur internal skills can result in a better answer as compared to the prepared one.

as for as my success is concerned its just ALLAH's KRAM
many people did better than me but could not do it because its someone else who decides it. aspirants should strogly believe in ALLAH not even in urself just in ALLAH.

@nageen

conclusion is not something other than the answer, iss best k chakkar men u may loose marks. it should not be a different body of words.it should briefly cover all the points which are discussed earlier in the answer. u should add one or two concluding sentences in favour of ur discussion in the answer.

well for me this has been a surreal experience so far. I believe luck or destiny or whtever you may call it plays a huge role. But then again i firmly believe so did the prayers of my mother and the immense help i had from All-Might Allah. You can never discount the hard work of someone, but this i think just adds onto the above factors in one form or the other. I cant proclaim that this might be the case with others, but for me without a shadow of doubt it was the help i got by catching a break when ever i needed it and luckily doing the things i did at the times i did and with the time i had.

I will add on one thing though, as my dad has said all his life: A brilliant person may or may not succeed, but a hard working man never fails. Coupled with the famous quote "The harder i work, the luckier i get" is probably what this might be all about.

well be optimistic and hopeful, use poetic words, smilies give a real message through your conclusion, make it as much heavy as you can, try to end on idiom, Quranic verse, poetry or quote

With due respect, I disagree with what you are advising. In my opinion when one attempts essay like “Can we prevent the 3rd World War” poetic words, poetry, idioms, and Quranic verses do not serve the purpose of conclusion. Conclusion is like a gist of the whole essay or question. When I write something I follow a set rule to write a conclusion.

In conclusion, -------- Thesis Statement in different words ------ Briefly describe all the points in same order ----- Suggestions.

1. Start with In conclusion, Conclusively etc. (Some teachers disagree with this. I think using these words will convey examiner that the candidate is aware of the structure of essay i.e. introduction, body, and conclusion.)

2. Write thesis statement (Hit the Target Line) in words different from what you used in introduction of essay.

3. Write briefly all the points in same order you mentioned in essay inn 3-4 lines.

4. Your own suggestions about the topic in 2-3 lines.

Writing conclusion will be a very easy job if you have essay outline beforehand. Otherwise it will be difficult for you to write briefly all the points in same order.

I'd agree with Dr. Malik on what he said about the conclusion. in fact one must avoid flowery english as far as possible. simple english is the way to go.
