arif bhai you are right in questioning the reson of army personnels in civil institutions but unfortunately army does not think like that way. this is the country of army and it is their very generous arm that they have allowed to let civilian live inside their contonment of PAKISTAN.

@ fiqr o amal:

The seat count is not final. The Establishment Division still reserves the right to make necessary changes in the number.

This was clearly mentioned in the publication of FPSC in which it announced number of allocations for CSS 2008.

However I personally don't see any drastic cuts or increments.

i do not see any change in the number of seats especially when most of the aspirants have managed to know their respective departments which are still pending to be announced officially.

Mostly by guess work as nothing concrete has come out from the FPSC or the Establishment Division.

well this is not the result of guess at all. many friends have reached their department news with the help of their links in establishment. this is not anything very impossible when the result has already been finalized.

Dear,

Is it a hoax or a corroborated information? We all wish for the immediate appointment of new chairman.

I am hanging by a thread :)

I am 275th in overall merit and from Punjab so I might be the last one to be allocated from Punjab or the first one to be dropped

I think you have more chances to be allocated. As there is a good possibility of the instances where some of the candidates may decline to join services because of the non-allocation in the group of their interest.
And there may be the candidates whose priorities may have changed afterwards.

Wish you best of luck.
