How was your paper friends ? Precis just took my brain off.

Yes, Precis was quite intense:0. I took about 1 hour and I am sure I nailed it. what were you lot's title for precis.:bow

Comprehension did compensate for precis. Piece of Cake:cr

Anyone who remember the answers of MCQs etc?

Both papers were piece of cake

precis was too difficult.none of idioms came from exploring the world of english but one.:cry

English grammar & composition was tough paper.They changed pattern.Mcqs were 20 & very very tough.I had tears in my eyes.Precis was "bakwas" .On first reading I couldn't comprehend what the ala bla was written.Yeah Composition was very easy.Idioms were unfamiliar to me.

Comparing to last year,it was difficult paper.

Come on! The 2nd paper was so easy even a 9th class student could have solved it. I couldn't believe the comprehension. Actually asked the examiner whether that was all or maybe my paper had some text missing. Precis was so easy I did it in one go.

After an attack by 20 MCQs after First reading of Precis i thought to tear the paper in parts

If you are exceptional,it doesn't mean paper was easy.I also didn't fail to attempt precis but that wasn't easy too.
At my centre,people were somewhat depressed.For me,just passing paper doesn't matter.I had expected 70+ in it which I can imagine only now !
Poor me,not even better than a 9th class student.

Apologies if you felt I was rude in making that 9th class statement. That wasn't my intention. And no I am not exceptional; Infact only yesterday I was quite tense. I did my best and Allah helped me. All I would say is forget about this paper and prepare for the next one. CSS is all about surprises so who knows maybe you score pretty good marks in this paper :)

i attempted energy crisis topic..essay tu mazy ka tha but kuch zyada hi lmba hogya..in the end mjhe outlines rough se neat krny ka time hi nahi mila aur examinar ne paper khench liya ..what do u think k without outlines mere essay ki kya worth hogi..meine essay bht acha likha ha

paper was not that tough as i expected it to be....overall happy with precis paper :)
in essay paper i did energy crises in Pakistan, but not really satisfied with that, as i heard some people saying that they had literally crammed that essay before exam.....essay paper was very very much expected, status of women, energy crises, and democracy....what else could WE dream of :P but i am regretting right now as i turned a deaf ear to people suggesting these topics as EXPECTED...and didnt really PREPARED them...but yes read some articles about them but did not LEARNED ANYTHING by heart :@

MY precis title was : quality of men versus quantity of them

got three idioms right, mcq's were all greek to me :P

nop..i made rough outlines on the last page..i thought that to i will arrange sub heading later and then re-write the outilines on the front page..but unfortunately time essay lmba hota hi chala gya..i discussed all the relevant points but i couldn't make the neat outlines on the front page..

paper pattern was change..Phrases in the place of Pair of words was a blunder which are nearly impossible to remember..idioms ware also unfamiliar...precis was a bit difficult

The precis was taken from a book 'Christen Ethics & Modern Problems' and the actual title of the given para, as given in the book, is 'THE POPULATION QUESTION'. However, that doesn't mean that it can't have any other title...Here is the link

sis outline was to be written before essay :sad:,it doesnt matter ,inshaAllah u'll get marks ,bcz ,atleast u've written it

rest aper was very easy....

It doesn't matter in which order you solve/answer questions. Don't worry dear, no marks will be deducted.

But today I saw in the rule of CSS examination-2012 that [B]" the marking will be in order of consecutive answers" [/B]. I could not understand exact meaning of this statement.

In 2009, I written outline at the end of essay n I was given 53 marks, consideration may vary from examiner to examiner but it is not a big issue.
