Now that doesn't imply that the rest of the candidates who also worked exceptionally hard as you mentioned are necessarily dumb or anything like that, I'm in no position to Judge you or anyone who haven't qualified for that matter and there is nothing more discouraging and heartbreaking than to work really hard for something and not achieving it in the end but its more like tough luck which they can compensate by working more enthusiastically and rigorously for the next attempt. More importantly CSS isn't the end of life, Even if someone hasn't qualified after all availed attempts, He/She shouldn't lose heart because if one door is closed for you, a thousand more can open, Most important thing is to learn and experience and keep trying. Maybe destiny has far more bigger plans for you. GOOD LUCK!
Dear Ali,

You haven't taken an attempt. Take an attempt first and then we'll surely talk about it

It is somewhat vague to show 2.09%. It bespeaks 2.09% candidates had been lucky enough at the point of time when their papers were being checked by the examiner.
Is it the right appraisal performed by FPSC when one candidate is given PAS (DMG) in one exam and he fails in 2 papers in the following css exam?
Damn, if candidates from Faisalabad did something fraudulent, is it justified to obscure the future of others?

All of us have disregarded a fact that the result of 237 candidates has been withheld. Consider that their candidature hasn't been rejected (as we saw in the result of last year and the years before) but has been withheld. They have chances of being considered as qualified in due time. That might take the total number of qualified candidates to 500 (or more).

Some Possible Reasons (only SPECULATIONS):

  • FPSC might have shorlisted the candidates with written result in proportion to expected allocations in order to save their time and candidate's energies
  • As they plan to introduce screening test by 2015, there might be shortage of seats this year and the coming year, in order to manage extra vacancies for expected quick result procedure.
  • A large no. of candidates passed and they got some certain Paper rechecked resulting in more than average failures
  • Another notable feature is that many of the allocatees of 2012 have failed in their very next attempt(2013) which was expected to be better one. ( I know many of such competent persons well; all of them can't meet the same fate per chance) Might be, there is some deliberate intention to shortlist the candidates. ( again just my own perception, not necessary to be right)
  • A very strong point suggested by Seemab in a post above. Consider the withheld result

Note: I sympathize with all the aspirants. I am in no way trying to defend FPSC. But I believe its not a revenge sort of business as some persons tried to assert, referring to Faislabad case. Even if they pass some 1000 candidates they can't import the extra vacancies from nonexistence to accommodate all the qualifiers.

I silently wish they have exactly this many seats and interview will just ascertain the merit :p

are u selected in batch 5 ? for which university ?
wait for DMS and then decide.
i am also selected for UNM-USA and failed in my C.E 2nd attempt it is painful and disappointing.but more disgusting is the examinations standards so i am not pretty much hopeful for the next attempt. i think we should go and avail the chance of fully funded higher education opportunity.
ability and hardworking make me quite hopeful for next attempt but luck factor again pulling me back.
bus boht hogia css ab kuch essa kiya jaaye jahan mehnat or Qabliat ki bunyaad pe ap ki position bany. na k qismat pe. phir to bnda prize bond ly kr rakh ly

Default Happy now?

Are you all happy now? many months ago when I posted on this forum about a petition to challenge CSS 2013 in view of the malpractices committed at the Faisalabad centre, very few people supported me.

I can still go ahead with a fresh petition if I see an overwhelming support from you people.
