My dear friends, CE 2013 result was a bolt from the blue. Many candidates, including me, were optimistic about their results. However, our hopes were shattered and we are again in the queue. One thing is for sure CSS exam is totally unexpected. Sometime when you are hopeful about your result it is otherwise; and sometimes different stories happen, so what you are suppose to do is to work hard and devote your time and energy to your.....you know what I mean yes it is study. Your best friends should be your books. Give your best and then see what the will of Almighty is. Yes, don,t pay heed to such pessimistic views and observations. Although they are right in many ways and sharing the reality, results and exams vary year to year. Unequivocally, it is possible CE 2014 may be a blessing for you. So don,t worry, anyone can do it.

My condition was just like after failing in my third and last attempt. I didnt want to give up. I'm ready to appear in every CSS exam but I can't. Now I have to continue with my Ph.D but nothing is appealing me. What should one do after so many failures in life and growing depressive thoughts?

What should one do? Be practicle and dont loose heart over something you couldnt have. Believe in Allah. He doesnt create garbage. He created beings with aims and purpose. So if He created you, There's something valuable in you.

Respected Member! "Girthe hein shahsawar he maidan i jang mein". You must keep that in your mind that in each and every sphere of life there's a survival of the fittest, if one give up because of failures then, obviously, he might lose. Remember! Fortune favour the brave. Being a PhD doctor is far respectable a position than being a CSP, there are thousands of CSP officers but how many PhD doctors?. If you consider the economic value of a PhD doctor then again a PhD doctor earn more money than a CSP (barring through unfair means). So you've lost nothing by failing in the CSS. You need to gird up your loin and prepare yourself for the upcoming other competitions. Good luck and stay blessed.

No one is misleading or discouraging anyone these are true stories and one must bear in mind such glaring facts before jumping into CSS

For all those failures who are quitting CSS
The status of CSP is pretty much exaggerated people who are in touch with CSPs are whom family members are CSP will agree with me
With the growing corporate world there are enormous opportunities which CSPs cannot even think of :p
I am not denying the fact that CSS is lucrative and authoritative job and a shortcut for a people who are in their 20s,But it is not the only authoritative or lucrative job on earth
So just say goodbye to us and chill inshallah if your intension s are good you will land on moon someday

Oh yeah I forgot. After getting so many consoling messages I decided not to cry over this defeat and look forward with great enthusiasm. But again after visiting this forum I got depressed again for being a failure. As I have been A silent visitor of this forum for last three years. I can't stop visiting CSS forum and fpsc website I know it is of no help for me. Anyways thank you all for so encouraging comments
