Hi My psych test is on 3rd May and interview is on 19th May. I want to ask what would be the appropriate dress code on such occasion on those dates in month of May?
Seniors are requested to guide. Regards. |

Complete Guidelines on your outlook for 2nd Day of Psychology and Final Interview:
Keeping in view the intensity of weather in May you are not advised for three piece. Navy blue full suite( Coat having side openings / cuts, loose button from inside, two to three main buttons, decent shoulders, not too much in fitting, avoid keeping exposed handkerchief/flower/any tissue paper in coat’s front pocket), Pants without folding, with lesser plates but at the same time it should not be too tight like vulgar jeens. Belt 1 to 1 n ½ inch wide in black color, covered buckle in plain square or rectangular shape, open buckle with pin dividing buckle skeleton in two halves is also tolerable but full covered plain buckle is preferable Light blue, sky blue plain shirt, avoid lines and checks, if you like lines or checks the most then try to cloth light lining or narrow checks, cufflinks are ok but it is better to avoid, collor of the shirt should be sober and reasonable in shape. Dark blue plain tie without excessive shining and excessive silkiness, length of tie upto your belt, single Knot for thick stuff and double knot for thin stuff, width of tie should be normal, excessively narrower tie gives look of childish and vulgar casual style, excessively broader tie gives look of laziness, tie pin is not mandatory. Try to avoid tie pin, but if weather is of such nature that you need to control tie with tie pin when coat buttons are not done up then its ok. Dark blue plain socks, avoid designs in socks, avoid excessively shiny and silky socks. Black shoes with laces, three lace holes in shoes, moderate heals, moderate peaks of shoes, minimum designs and shades. Hair cut of not more than 10 days old and not of two days fresh, try to get your hair cut at least 8 days before your interview and get sides minor cut one day before interview for removing extra hair grown after your 10 days old hair cut, Sober hair style with minimum touch of armed style but not like armed or police recruit, avoid longer hair style like film heroes or dancers. If you are bearded person do maintain it in Ahl-e-Tashia style, avoid talibani Pesh Imam style, I am sorry if anybody has sensitive view over this issue but I have explained preferred style, you may adopt your own style, If you are clean shave do make fresh shave in the morning. Nail cut should be two days old. Facial is optional depending upon your personality condition and vulnerability to allergic reactions, don’t make new experiences right at the time of interview, if you intend to have facial then it is advisable to try it at least 15 to 20 days as a trial so that you can manage to recover from any unwanted body reaction. Use light perfume with good fragrance like adidas and similar perfumes, avoid sticky perfumes and Atir type smells. A decent and less stylish wrist watch with moderate size, sober color, sober dial, and sober belt. Sober pen, avoid ball point, ink pen is preferable. Decent document carrying file cover, preferably small beg in hand carry style with separate portions for separate documents, few tissues in your coat/paint pocket. Decent eye glasses frame if you have eyesight problem, avoid excessively broader frames, and avoid excessively narrower frames, avoid more designs and label names. One to two rings are tolerable but fingers filled with bulky rings should be avoided. Your undergarments like banyan and underwear should also be new one. Though these are hidden yet these bring better reflection in your personality. Color Combinations for full suites: Most preferred Navy blue full suite with 1) Sky blue shirt 2) Off white shirt 3) White Shirt. (Different shades of blue color in full suite can be tried but navy blue is considered better). Brown color full suite can also be used subject to the supporting complexion of candidate. Dark brown full suite with off white shirt/creamy brown shirt/white shirt. Socks color will be different accordingly. Regards Raz Last edited by Andrew Dufresne; Sunday, April 11, 2010 at 09:54 AM. @Raz !
Thanks for such highly structured reply, when your book will be published on Interview & Costume? @ahmadbilal, Formal Dress creates a good impression, Formal Dress can be defined as; general terms for clothing suitable for formal social events, such as wedding, garden party, dinner etc. Moreover, Dress in which you feel free to meet a high profile personality is suitable for the interview; dress like it’s your wedding. One must go for his convenience; personally I am relaxed with National Dress i.e. shalwar kameez along with waistcoat. Dress and boots should be preferably new. White shalwar kamiz and black waistcoat has good impression. Fresh bath at the morning of interview, trimmed hair style, wearing formal dress, brand new or polished shoes, offering prayer (Salath-e-Hajit) and leaving home while adding beauty to the atmosphere by perfume fragrance, is one of the memorable events. Regards,

Thank you very much dear Andrew Dufresne for beautifying the post. Great effort . Infact I talked about person's outlook and you dressed up my post with best outlook .
Thanks a lot crown Prince for appreciation. I do not have any plan to publish book, my encyclopaedia is www.cssforum.com.pk. For any reason if I feel need of publishing book, that book will be collection of contribution in this forum because I have things either in my mind or in this forum, there is no third place. |

Case referred to Last Island, Princes Royal, Artemis, Miss Naqvi, and Saleeq Batool. I can explain broader guidelines but expert opinion can be obtained from these referred icons.
