My Pscychological on 25-26 Jan 2012
AOA
First, thanks to almighty Allah as all went well. Day 1: We were given following tests 1) Sentence completion( 35 in 8 min, 2 sets) 2) Intelligence test( analogies, number series, common word, general series, patterns) 3) Personality questions( 240, to be marked between(s.agree, agree, neutral,disagree.s.disagree) 4) Autobiography 5)performa with about 20 questions 6) picture stories 7) comprehension The day is exhaustive, it sounds all easy, but it really strains the brain, so one should get good sleep in the night. No hard science just easy stuff, anyone can just do it. Just keep a cool, and be frank. Day 2: Group is seated in waiting room. You can get to know each other, and get calm if you feel anxious while coming in the morning. Then each of the candidate will be told his seat number and you will be taken to the room where the panel is seated. The panel comprises of three members. The group will sit on the allocated seat, and the sitting is in U shape format. Group Discussion( 15 mins for each) 1) First urdu: Deeni madariss aur ulema na muashira mei sahi kerdar ada neh kya 2) English: cable and internet has affected the social life in our society. Ample time it is everyone can speak well in the allotted time. Command Task: Files given to each member with their task, then 15 min given for reading and working out. Then one by one every one conducts his meeting, within 8 minute for each. Command Task: Chairman LDA, to get back some plots from different social/welfare/educational organizations, which were given for community projects, but have been misused. I believe 8 minute is good enough of a time, an done should brief well as well as solicit suggestions without much haste. Psychological Interview: As per the seat number everyone was called and interviewed by the same panel. My interview was for 5-7 minutes it revolved around following. My education My stay in Australia My job and now business May family Family sources of income My social habits They asked y did i replace police with foreign service as my 2nd preference. Why was i not able to score well in 2010 My strengths and weaknesses Nothing from optionals/ general knowledge. On the whole it was a very positive interaction, carried out in a very congenial environment/mood. I am pretty happy about the whole experience, and feel it went as good as it could have been. Now hopefully Allah will provide success all throughout the process. Some tips: Stay calm and relaxed, think positive and you will be able to perform well on this. Time will not be an issue in group activities, it will be on the first day activities. Good sleep very important, dont miss on that. |
