History of USA volumn 1 and 2
by Majumdar and Shrivastva
This book covers topic upto President Richard Nixon. CSS exam normally contains Four questions uptil Nixon period.
But you should study further topics like war on terror, new world order, President Obama. You can search on internet.

Dear Humma Usa history is best, easy, short and high scoring subject while Muslim law is very tough and lengthy. but i don't know about usa history best author name

Default Muslim law vs. USA history
Dear Muslim Law covers two portions, Law and Jurisprudence. You have to cover both portions. Law part includes Law regarding Marriage, dower, divorce, Guardianship, parentage etc. Jurisprudence includes sources of Laws like ijma, qiyas, consensus etc
Us history, on the hand, also takes time. You have to cover American presidents like Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Lincoln, Different wars like 1812, revolutionary war. Then many current topics like Obama's wars, war on terror, cold war etc.
Now it's up to your interest and apptitude

Dear firstly,prepare your study plan regarding the topics you have to cover. Your study plan could be divided into three categories
1. Major issues like Exploration and Colonization, war of Independence, federalists, war of 1812, slavery, civil war , cold war etc..

2. American presidents including... Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson,George Washington, Lincoln, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Richard Nixon, Obama etc. There are 44 presidents but obviously you have do a few of them.

3. Short notes like Cuban Missile crises, Monroe Doctrine, Feminism, Bill of rights, Manifest destiny etc...

Prepare your daily schedule, as you are running out of time. But maximum you can do it in 10 to 12 days.(But it also depends on your capabilities, hard work and cramming)
