is Ikram rabbani's book is sufficient for the prep of IR with no background knowledge?

No, for competitive exams you need to cover all aspects and for that you need to consult different books.

(I mean for a serious attempt)

yes, first go through the syllabus from Ikram Rabbani's book new book of revised syllabus, then go for addition.. I have also purchased this book.

i have not started IR yet. but 15-20 days i think
