Default From where to start indo-pak history - Muhammad Bin Qasim or Babar

can anybody tell me that from where to start indo-pak history. i mean is it from 1526 i.e. from the arrival of Babar into subcontinent or from 712 when Muhammad Bin Qasim defeated Raja Dahir? please clarify

I guess it would depend upon your choice....go through the past papers i hope ya shall have your answer...

BTW if you look closely into the past papers archive, ya shall see that out of total 7 or so questions, you need to answer just 4. and the questions are roughly divided between pre 1500s and post 1500 i.e. pre mughal and mughal era. my mughal studies do not have a solid foundations so for me the balance tilts towards pre-Mughal era and that's where i would try to attempt my majority questions.

I hope this is enough!

Dear Mr. Impressionist the paper of INDO-PAK-I consists of 45% from M-Qasim and Delhi Sultant portion while the rest of the 55% is normally taken from 1526 and onward i-e from Mughal portion.... so one must study the m.qasim, and delhi sultanat thoroughly in order to secure good marks in this paper...........
