I suggest first you see your previous degree courses what you have studied before and then for selection of optional. Those subjects which you have studied before or have an idea or interest so you should take that as your optional. I think you should take:
Business Administration
Sociology
Psychology
Indo Pakistan History
and a regional language.

Rest is up to you and your interest.

Salam Dear Basit
You choose a good combination.
Geography and Indo Pak History are good combination. As Geography is considered as over leaping subject and interesting also it also help you in eds paper as well as in interview. Now Indo Pak , as you prepare Indo Pak you also cover the Pak Affair Paper. Also Business Administration and Mercantile Law are also good combinations.
And one suggestion for you that subject selection is completely own choice and your interest.
Regards

Thanku for ur response
well i have been going through all the past papers and after seeing that Business Administration is huge and lengthy while the marks are nt that much so ive decided to drop it instead i m going fr Journalism which is quite interesting fr me. Btw after reading the outlines of the courses i knew that Pakistan Affairs covers almost half of the Indo-Pak History So.. i think its tym to finalize it and start my preparation..........but just one thing bothers me...i've heard frm many people that some courses are scoring and some are nt i dnt know what people realy mean by "scoring" !!! is it true? like even if my whole paper is perfect still i won't get marks in a less "scoring" course??!!!!

To some extent you have rightly been apprised by someone about the scoring or less-scoring subjects. There are few subjects that are on target list every year, where aspirants fill those thick and dry pages in the exams perfectly to their ends but the result comes quite contrary to what they expect. And that is how these subjects are tagged as less-scoring. This list includes Indo-Pak History, International Relations etc. So one has to give consideration to this aspect as well to score high enough marks and subsequently see oneself in the final allocation list.

Select Indo-Pak History only if you love this subject by heart. You also can give consideration to:

Journalism: it is easy to understand and requires less time to prepare well enough.

Sociology: it requires indepth conceptual understanding, its scoring and interesting subject if you are keen to observe society.

Regional Language: highly scoring

Geography: it will supplement your preparation of CA,PA,EDS and interview.

For further analysis, click Analysis of optional subjects by drvalentino.

Good Luck!

Regards,

@ Bassit
Dear I read in many posts and threads that this subject is scoring and not. But partially I believe that there is some concept of this hypothesis but not 100% true.
For Example Dr. Qurat Ul Aeen is CSS topper (1st ) her optional subject was urdu and everybody know and say that urdu is low scoring.
Dear optional subjects are own choice and interest. You just think and do it.
If you engaged in discussing the scoring and not you waste your time.

Avoid regular use of "Netspeak" or other "cute" grammar or spelling (For example: writing "R U a woman?" instead of "Are You a woman?")

"Netspeak" should be allowed! as it saves time and actually it is not just cuteness. But one has to follow the rules so be it like the way forum wants it to be
