Dear Asad,

You yourself can better analyze as to what extend these notes cover the syllabus by having a look at the past 10 years papers after going through my notes.

And regarding your question whether i teach at NOA (Isb). yes i did for almost a year but since Im in karachi these days therefore not teaching.

i would advise you to visit this site as well.most of the articles written here are on css pattern..though it still is not complete but its US history section does contain informative articles...

i think you should study from the people's history of USA and then consult JWT book just for notes it took some days i think 10 days would be enough after all its history.

Sir naveed bhutto's notes are very helpful. It almost cover all the important topics except current affairs portion which can easily be prepared through newspapers, magazines etc

Jahangir series books are usualy stereotype and copied from different sources which contribute little to the exam preparation.

These are all the link where you all can find my notes. Even I have tried my best that aspirants should get notes from these link because, even for me its very hard to reply every email timely. But may be the aspirants finds it easy to collect notes via emails. or they cannot find access to these links.

At the height of the most recent Ice Age, about 35,000 years ago, much of the world‘s water was locked up in vast continental ice sheets. A land bridge as much as 1,500km wide connected Asia and North America. By 12,000 years ago, humans were living throughout much of the Western Hemisphere. The first Americans crossed the land bridge from Asia and were believed to have stayed in what is now Alaska for thousands of years. They then moved south into the land that was to become the United States. They settled along the Pacific Ocean in the Northwest, in the mountains and deserts of the Southwest, and along the Mississippi River in the Middle West.

These early groups that settled in America are known as

They built villages and grew crops. Some built mounds of earth in the shapes of
pyramids, birds, or serpents. Their life was closely tied to the land, and their society was clan-oriented and communal. Elements of the natural world played an essential part in their spiritual beliefs.

The first Europeans to arrive in North America, at least the first for whom there is solid evidence were Norse. They traveled west from Greenland, where Erik the Red had founded a settlement around the year 985. It would be almost 500 more years before other Europeans reached North America and another 100 years after that before permanent settlements were established. The first explorers were searching for a sea passage to Asia. Others chiefly British, Dutch, French, and Spanish came later to claim the lands and riches of what they called the ―New World.

Movies can be a source of learning specially when you are studying history. I am a Movie buff and prefer to see movies on diverse topics. Recently i came to see a movie describing how COLUMBUS got into Americas and what happened to Red-indian tribes , how they fight with each other and how colonization started. The movie is ''1492:CONQUEST OF PARADISE''
moreover to feel the civil war times , one of the greatest movie of all time , '' GONE WITH THE WIND " can be beneficial. There are many many more classics too , which can enhance your learning.

I downloaded those from a blog but they have water marks of NOA academy in background which creates problem in reading and concentrating.

Hello to every one I Want Notes of History of USA Please SEND ME ASAP.

Sir, I have some concern regarding your notes. John Adams played a vital role in winning the colonies' votes for independence in continental congress held in Philadelphia and advocated for independence with vigor when Mr. Dickinson was trying hard to stop the declaration of independence. He even proposed the name of General George Washington to lead the continental army. He served as the vice president under the presidency of George Washington although there is an opinion that he could have won the 1st presidential election but some conspirators(one of them was surely Alexander Hamilton) wanted to elect George Washington unanimously. He is regarded as founding father of USA along with some others and later on elected as the 2nd president of USA yet there is no mention of John Adams in your valuable notes and you even merged his tenure in George Washington's two terms. In your notes, George Washington ruled from 1789 to 1801 whereas he was elected for two terms from 1789 to 1797 and after him, John Adams ruled from 1797 to 1801. Under the main heading of George Washington's achievements and subheading of XYZ affairs, you have mentioned that Alexander Hamilton demanded to wage war against France but John Adams refused. Alexander Hamilton tried his best to convince John Adams to wage war against France as he was inclined towards good relations with England rather than France. Now here, again, John Adams was president and not George Washington.
