I made the same list of expected questions for 2014 and prepared accordingly. Good to know that someone else too is expecting the same. Moreover, I would like to add Kansas-Nabraska Bill and Atlantic Charter in the list of short notes. Good luck!

Yaara I don't think k there would be a direct question on Kansas-Nabraska Bill as this bill itself was a settlement of Missouri Compromise. Agar unko poochna hi hoga yeh tu woh slavery par sawal de denge.... or us main yeh kuch bill/acts hian jo mention hona laazmi ho jatai hian hain....

Baqi Atlantic Charter is also important. so it can be included in that list.

@Mohammed Ali Baig: looking at your preparation, I hope that you will score very good marks. Wish you Good Luck

Unfortunately, there are not much books except Majumdar's. So if you want to study any topic/event after Richard Nixon, the best way to do it by using internet and various articles.

@Naveed Bhutto
What are the chances of the following topics (in your view):
1. Leagues of Nations (Formation, Success, Failures)
2. Hoover Foreign Policy
3. Eisenhower Doctrine and his Foreign Policy
4. Abraham Lincoln
5. Slavery and Efforts to Abolish it
6. Civil War: Causes and Course
7. USA: Industrialization at the end of 19th Century
8. Bill Clinton
9. Bush Doctrine
10. Financial Crises of 2008

By careful review of past papers of all history subjects, there is an idea hidden about the appropriations of questions according to notable time had in past, specifically about US History, we can say, first two questions are mostly from the following time frame:
1660 Navigation Acts to Compromise of 1850
Whereas, third question usually comes from the following time frame:
1850 - 1890 (Issue of Slavery, Leaders like Lincoln, Sectional Divide/War, US Imperialism and Industrial Advancements are the major issues/topics of this period)
Likewise, fourth and fifth questions come from the from the following time frame:
1900 (Progressives) to Containment of Russia till 1970

And the last question comes from random areas - Short Notes (2/4)

Why I am writing this all is to get suggestions if I am right? As I have studied according to these appropriations. However, what if there comes a paper like it was in 2012: most of the matter was asked not about the events, but about the time past 'between' those events which most of the books have not endorsed in any form (detail or notes). Same was the case of objectives, plus the whole paper was asked from the time 1917 on-wards

Regardless, this is my second attempt, I am leaving the period (1850-1890) assuming nothing should be asked from there this time as was asked in the previous two-three years, and (1960-2000) on choice

I am more focused on 1660-1850, 1890-1960 , Foreign Policy and Current Issues like:
1. War on Terror
2. US-Pakistan Relations

Please guide me if I am missing anything (expected for 2014)

Thanking you in anticipation!
