Info regarding what? By just little info you cannot make detailed notes.

For Chauser's Cateburry Tales, you must have all necessary info about Medieval Era, Catholic Church and Great Schism.

Faerie Queene is largely symbolic and an allegorical epic. To have a deep insight, study the entire text. Else, you wont be able to attempt a single question, be it a detailed note or explanation with reference to context.

actually the question you asking requires a lot of explanation. it is better if you study both topics separately in their context and compare these topics.

Faerie Queene is largely symbolic and an allegorical epic, book 1 represents holiness.
Movement of reformation :
The Reformation of the 16th century was a movement within Western Christendom to purge the church of medieval abuses and to restore the doctrines and practices that the reformers believed conformed with the Bible and the New Testament model of the church. This led to a breach between the Roman Catholic Church and the reformers whose beliefs and practices came to be called Protestantism.

when you have studied these topics in detail then read this book your question will be answered.here is the link for this book ;self-interpretation of faerie queene'
http://ifile.it/4avz7c9

this topic demands a lot of material which cannot be typed. if you want to get answer you have to study yourself.
hope after doing this all you get answer according to your wish.

---------

Spenser was a devout and staunch Christian.in his first book of the Faerie Queene,he in a way allegorises the struggle between the reformed church headed by Queen Elizabeth and the Roman Catholic church represented but her rival ,Mary Queen of Scots.

Una in one represents as well Queen Elizabeth as the reformed church of England or true church.Lady una's simplicity ,her white spotless simple garments and her humility characterize the simplicity ,the purity and the humility of the Puritan Church.

Lady Una's rival ,Lady Duessa represents the Queen of Scots, the representative of Roman Catholic church. This in Spenser's view stood for falsehood. Lady duessa and her pride ,her rich royal garments ,her falsehood and trickery and her actual ugliness when she is laid bare ,all represent the evils that existed in Roman catholic church with all the pomp and grandeur of its feasts, rituals and ceremonies.

The giant Orgoglio is said to represent the Pope, specialy as the temporal head of roman catholic church. Orgoglio's taking of Duessa for his 'deare' and his placing on her head a triple crown and his investing her with royal majesty .these all are suggestive of the allurement promised by Queen of Scots by the Pope.

There are many other characters and monsters in the First book which may be taken to represent the various evils that spenser found in roman catholic church.
Archimago has been suggested to represent the hypocrisy of roman catholics
Coreca is the blind devotion of roman catholics
Ahessa is the superstitious nature od roman catholic
Lucifera is their pomp and grandeur and their parade of their splendour
Old dragon is the satan in them

Where as for protestant church spencer used such characters
Knight of the redcross is an active militant character
Lady una as truth, simplicity and holiness
Dame coelia the heavenly life that it promises
Speranza is the hopr that it gives to its adherents
Fidelia is the true faiththat it awakens
Charissa the faith in charitythat it arouses
And so on

In a way first book has allegory of the struggle of protestant England against roman church
Now read the first book and compare these character and their roles as the characters suggest in the story and their allegory with the events of reformation at that time.

Hope I make things clear.it will be easy now
To answer it completely with reference to first book is very lengthy. I don't have time to type such a long answer here.

Well, as for chaucer, i 'd suggest you to get access to the Harold Bloom series edition of "Prologue to the Canterbury Tales". There are a few very enlightening essays, you'll be able to have really sound points from there. If you are enrolled in a degree and are going to be contantly in need of good criticism, I'd suggest you to join enotes.com, or questia.com. Enotes, as you may already know, gives very good notes, better than sparknotes. Questia gives you a lot of research material, and almost the entire Harold Bloom series.
For Spenser, I'd suggest you to buy a Norton Critical Edition of Faerie Queene (I don't remember exactly whether it is on Faerie Queene specifically or the entire Spenser, but its a fat book anyway) from Allied Book Company > alliedbook.com. Don't buy online, go to their shop and also don;t forget to ask for a discount, even if it is only 600 rupees.

Bon chance!
