Guidance required on Mercantile Law for Interview

i had couple of questions regarding mercantile law preparation for viva voice
1.Should we prepare case laws? because Chairman Saab might take keen interest in the subject
can the panel discuss case laws in this manner that they mention the a case e.g Kay vs Groves 1829 and then ask what was the case about ,what happened etc etc
2 What should be the strategy for preparing companies ordinance for interview?

You need not cram case laws at this stage. Just revise major concepts of contract Act, Sales of Goods, Partnership and few concepts of Negotiable Instruments

Define Mercantile Law

CUFMM,

Revocation of proposal

Essentials of Contract of Sale
Caveat Emptor,
Sale and Agreement to sale difference
Warranty vs guarantee,

2 What should be the strategy for preparing companies ordinance for interview?

Refer original version of Companies ordinance and don’t waste your time on other books for interpretations and explanations. Revise sections for formation, registration of company, sections relating to Accounts, Audit and statutory meetings and agenda items.

guide me RAZ plz. i appearead in ce-2012 with app.math, physics.i.law,journalism. i hate journalism as it is uncertain. i am wihing to opt mercantile.law replacing journalism. i am electrical engr, so i have no background for m.law. guide me.
my taste is not developed 4 any other 100 marks subject like punjabi, sociology, forestory, P.A,
i think i have time ,so can do m.law.
i am sure i will be among qualifiers if my essay ''obesity is root cause of all diseases" clicks. i managed essay well as i read articles regarding this. i am fsc pre.medical also. i did add.maths before engg. still satisfied with my performance in 2012.

First of all I wish you best of luck in CE-12 attempt.

Mercantile Law is a technical subject, and I never recommend this subject to those who have never touched this subject in their academic history.

I would suggest you to think over Punjabi or Sociology.

I HV all books u mentioned earlier. tell me about paper pattren. wil it be as it was in 2012,2013,2011, or shuffling to scenario based case laws expected. waiting for ur kind .........................

i was asking if it is handled witout background or not. i feel it can be done under ur kind guide.

Collecting all the books is not enough to opt for a subject. Librarian and book sellers have lot of books but they cannot attempt exam. My sincere advise for you is to avoid M Law because I have seen non-technical candidates failing in M Law and gaining Top score in their rest of the papers.

Despite above daunt, threat, and warning if you have made your mind then let me tell you about the paper trend:

Normally paper trend continues for three years. Scan the M Law paper for last three years and based on it expect a trend for at most three years.

Mercantile Law is a subject which requires complete guidance from a teacher but I will not be able to teach you step by step as a substitute of full time teacher.

Opt it if you have academic background in Mercantile Law.
Prepare a good mix of theoretical portion and case studies to face any risky situation. It is advisable to cover both the portions in consolidated study. Case studies are very helpful in understanding the various sections of Mercantile Law.
