For Muslim law and Jurisprudence, the best books available in town are Rahim's Muhammadan Jurisprudence and Muhammadan Law by Mulla D.F. 1. Books for preparation... a) Mohammadan Jurisprudence by Sir Abdur Rahim b) Mullas Muhammadan Law. By Mulla These are the two available books for the preparation of ML. Amongst them go through book (a) thoroughly. The course is covered from that book. Rest you need to go through relevent topics from Mullas as it will show you how to attempt the paper. As far as preparation is concerend go through the Rahim's book in detail accept for the inheritance portion. Then prepae the notes of the previous 5 years papers. This will help you alot. Next prepare these topics up to the best 1. Family Laws, marriage, Dower and Divorce... Question is expected from this portion this year. 2. Sources of Law 3. Qazi, his powers, essentials etc 4. Law of Pre-emption 5. 1961 Act of Family law 6. 1939 act 7. hadood Ordinance of 1981 I think. Specially prepare those acts covered by Hadood Ordinance and the punishments for that. 8. Cover Gift, Wakf throughly The best guide is the papers of the previous five years. Objectives To prepare objectives go through the previous papers and solve them in the form of notes. Go through the Rahim's book and collect the relvent objectives from the book.I did it the same way this year and really was very very successful. Also u will find some good stuff here: http://www.cssforum.com.pk/css-compulsory-subjects/islamiat/islamiat-notes/75-islamic-law-notes.html Wish you all the best Last edited by Xeric; Sunday, May 24, 2009 at 01:26 PM. |

i wanted to know the reason for leaving out the inheritance portion. is it not part of syllabus of Muslim law and jurisprudence or is there some other reason for not doing it?

The complete quote:
Quote:
He has perhaps restrained the candidates from referring the inheritance portion from the Raheem's book because it does not have it. This portion has however been recommended to be studied from Mulla's book which has elaborate and comprehensive charts. Inheritance is a part of Mohammedan Law and it's very important. If you have that subject, refer to the link mentioned by NCH. I think it's great. Regards, Last edited by Adil Memon; Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at 11:52 PM. |
