The Mis-concieved Free-Will

Its a Law of nature of the Divine Being to put a person either resourceful or not , mostly at a test in one way or another aspect of life through different ways in terms of the use of his/her Free-Will and making choices either in form of thought, or-action paving way for something to happen after some action. A person makes choices and gives that choices the form of action after some sort of imagination, desire, needs, urge, passion etc.

Making choices stem out Free-Will of an individual, which is the capacity of that individual directed towards a particular aim/goal (either constructive or destructive in its own nature). depending upon a particular context...

After an aim/goal , in case of humans, is availed in a certain aspect of life like in the domain of religion virtue/sin committed, leading to some consequences be dealt in consonance with nature of the deed committed that’s award for virtue and punishment for sin. Similar is the case of committing a good/evil deed towards someone leading to hatred/love in social sphere of life dealt by the concerned targeted person(s) and observed by the Divine Being , an observation that may make its way towards the religious Divine Judgment mostly in the Hereafter.

Likewise Formally following/violating a law may lead to either peace/destruct in society which may in turn affect the social sphere of life of the concerned individuals as well of those who surround them , and finally leading to judgment of the Divine Being about the destruct or peace promoted in the society stemming out from the follow up/ violation of a law.
.Free Will and making choices of a person are not only concerned with Religious, social and Formal spheres of life. This “Cycle of Destiny” may be broadened as long as other aspects of life are brought under the implications a choice( based on Free-Will), made in the above discussed spheres of life , or centered n any other sphere of life.

Each and everything in this universe work through proper or wrong channel of action, when they are put into action, incorporating itself in the “Cycle of Destiny” , either highlighting the dark side or bright side of Destiny. Starting from Adam(A.S) and Eve till present no where back in history, neither at present nor in the future no-one can prove that any consequences are without actions taken by a person/community/country. All the things we can see or not see have been created by some unseen forces, and those unseen forces are concerned with the “Divine Being”.

Either from worldly point of view or from Divine point of view, no one can skip the reality that human beings have mostly or rather always have to face certain contextual situations throughout the course of their life in certain aspects of life. Accompanied by certain contextual factors (inhibitors/promoters), expanding or contracting the “Cycle of Destiny”
From the Divine point of view everything in this universe has been created to serve the creatures, especially human beings , created by the Divine Being. Not only human beings get their share of destiny, besides human all other creatures also do get their concerned share out of \life-oriented Cycle(s) of Destiny. No one can deny the fact that a living organism either human being or any other creature has its own set of intentions concerning different aspects of life. If we take into consideration those intentions ,it becomes easy to understand that their needs of life seek an intended path of action to be followed until the needs are fulfilled. Such needs may be a dilemma fixed, a success availed, or a problem made more ambiguous(when a unintended bad choice is made), leading to the need of some more input of effort, when Free-Will raises the quest of some sort of harmony even after the ambiguity created.

Like wise a culprit may make use of Free-Will for destruct, doing all against to what indulge in harmony in a certain aspect of life, while the culprit itself meeting unpleasant consequences , unpleasant side effects, or unpleasant after effects at certain contextual situations/phase of the Cycle of Destiny. Which may in turn boast more destruct or may teach the concerned culprit that Harmony is more joyful than dis-harmonious phase of the “Cycle of Destiny” and making him/her make good choices next time.

Here comes a questions to mind of most people, that if the consequences are good most people entertain the pleasure they avail while forgetting the Divine being during such pleasure, a pleasure which the Divine Being confers by His Will, after a person making good use of the Free-Will, which the Divine Being has conferred him/her. While in such contextual situations the Divine Being asks His humans beings, the special creatures on earth, to be grateful to the Divine Being for the pleasure which He confers them.

Or on the other hand if the consequences are bad ,then most people entreat to ask for some help, mostly from the Divine Being, talking regardless of any concern with Divinity, Plus it’s a proved reality that even those who do not believe in the Divine being scream for His help, when they suffer from some unpleasant consequences. The consequences which are not a sign of lack of mercy from the Divine Being but is a law of the Divine being to complete a path of the “Cycle of Destiny” for concerned person/community/country..

In case of Human beings the “Cycle of Destiny” has always been the share of the Divine being (Will Of God) and the share of the Human being `s Free Will, aided by other supporting factors(promoter/inhibitors) as per the need of a particular contextual situation.

“Free Will”, has always erected question marks, and has confused the minds of many , making them ask whether do we have and can practice our Free-Will making it involved in paving the path our destiny or not.?
A number of philosophers have adopted different approaches to understand the concept of “Destiny and Free Will”, which has always been a matter of confusion while approaching it intellectually.

Among the western philosopher some like d`Holbach, who sticks to the Deterministic approach to destiny, maintains that all the happenings in this universe are pre-determined while denying the Free Will part of the Cycle of Destiny, On the contrary some other western philosophers such as Thomas Reid, Peter van inwagen and Robert Kane stick to the Free-Will part of the “Cycle of Destiny” denying the per-determined part of happenings.

Here its easy to mention that pre-determined things include the Marriage of a Couple, Number of children, Amount of money one can have ,amount of other resources ,amount of water one will have to drink, , number of air breathings, pursuit of pleasure and happenings of etc. which are mostly a test for you but can have very proportion of the input of your Free-Will.
While the real role of Free-Will based-behaviors of the concerned persons of the “Cycle of Destiny” becomes obvious when you adopt a particular path to meet your needs for the availing of which you intend your Free-Will passionately in a particular direction of life. For example donating blood to someone, talking to an aged person, giving time to people to share their sorrow and help them solve their problems.

Among the eastern philosophers Vaishehika, believed in restricted-Will of man, believing that Free-Will of man has limitations and Free-Will of man can not be put in its real use. Though it’s a reality the Free-Will has restrictions when it goes against the purity of nature, however the same Free-Will can be entertained fully when the conscious aspect of mind is used with much proportion, then the same free-will mostly concerning a person `s choice about his/her own interests , can blend within the flow of restrictions in its dimension and can serve as a cause of harmony from some different angle, which is more contagiously beneficial.

For example in the Formal sphere of life if a law is against something illegal which goes in your benefit to some extent from your perspective and you make choice about your own benefit while violating the law causing some sort of Disorder, here you can stop being selfish , and can entertain more effective harmony when you avoid violating a particular law, while giving a different form to your choice and not committing what is illegal and forbidden,( like in case of Pakistan buying a job with money for instance), this way you instead of self-interest , served as a cause of harmony where the tendency of violation law is restricted, which in turn is cause of harmony at society level rather than finding fake pleasure when there is care about the restriction against you Free –Will,

Buddhists ,eastern philosophers , believe neither in determinism nor in Free-Will.

Islam maintains man has the ability to follow guidance or go astray, and finding the consequences for his/her committed deeds. This perspective of the“Divine Being facilitates destiny in the form of “Cycle Of Destiny” as I discussed above.”

Here it becomes easy to say that no doubt path of life is already written , however it to great extent depends on the free will of person. Most people often allegedly point towards the Divine Being, believing entirely in per-determination of happenings, while forgetting the way they adopt after being made resourceful by the Divine Being and creating such contextually unpleasant situations by themselves based on their choice , spirit action, and effects such action which are detestable for themselves.

Here the actual reality is that Divine Being is the most merciful of all, He loves His human beings seventy times more than a mother of a person , a woman who would have given birth to him/her after a lot of hardships. This seventy times love of the Divine Being with a Human Being has been mentioned in the last Holy Divine Book Qur`an,, where man has been shown obviously a special creature throughout the creativity of the entire universe,

Another proof for this reality is that even the Divine Being says Himself “ I Can forgive the violation of my rights, but not the violation of the rights of my creatures especially human beings”. When it’s obvious that He is not going to forgive the violation of rights of his humanity, it manifestly shows the concerned involvement of both the “Will Of the Divine Being” and the “Free-Will” of a person in the “Cycle of Destiny”, seconded by inhibitors or promoters.

We can also say here that (sometimes),the suffered (victim) party of “Cycle Of Destiny” either at individual or community, or country or international level will finally find some pleasant consequences while those who misused their Free-Will will suffer from unpleasant consequences ..

“Cycle of Destiny” may give either limited look restricted to the worldly sphere of affairs or may give a broader and broader look when element of the justice makes its way in the “Cycle of Destiny” beyond the life span of a choice maker paving its way to the consequences( beyond the mortality) either good or bad . that`s in the life of the Hereafter , reaching either Heaven or Hell or as dealt per the deed committed and then sending choice-maker to where is deserved place to stay like for sometime in hell, or forever in hell, or then back to Heaven forever( a life after the second Big Bang from scientific perspective).

Examples to illustrate the “Cycle of Destiny” incorporating both the Will of God as well as the Free will… include.


1. The Case of Iblees (Satan), when he was told to bow and place head on the ground (sajda) in front of Adam( A.S), like other Angels, when Satan (Azazil) was one of the five prominent angels (Jabrael (A.S), Makael (A.S), Israfeel(A.S), Izraeel (A.S) and Azazil ) at that time. However when he misused his free-will and opposed the compulsion and purity of nature. Angel-turned-Iblees is the outcome who will end up his “Cycle of Destiny” at Hell after the seond Big Bang , a life in the Hereafter.

Here most people, mostly committing evils, raise ask a question “If Satan is the cause of evil, why man is considered guilty for a sin, from the Divine point of view?” Here the answer is one`s own utilizing of “Free-Will” backed up by the use of consciousness/unconscious aspect of mind .which mostly lead to good /bad outcomes respectively.


2. Another example would include that , we observe parents making choices about the marriage of their daughters and sons, which from the Divine point of view is backed up by the prevailed concept that the marriages of couples have been destined even before they were born. It’s a different reality that man here uses his/her free will about the marriage of his/her son /daughter but here we ignore an absolute reality Free-will are actually restricted by the Divine Being to do what He has destined already.


3. Third example would include that Free will is often used without any proper understanding of the barriers and promoters, and choice is made. which if naturally went in favor of purity of nature can be the cause of good ends while if such use of free will is used against the purity of nature it makes it obvious that bad consequences will be the result. Obviously when careless choices are made, bad ends will be the results. Like joining a group of people who would somehow commonalities with you on the bases of which you join such group of people, while when later on “a man is known is known by the company he keeps, your nature, its unpredictable what type of consequences(good/bad) you may end up with.

All of the above three examples which shows different aspects of the use of Free Will , highlighting some possible aspects of the “Cycle Of Destiny”, its easy to say that..

Consequences either Good or Bad may have different forms and patterns as per the Will of The Divine Being, and based on The Use of Free-Will of a particular and concerned individual.

In nutshell its obvious that all that really matters for harmonious ends is we as human beings should always take into consideration the consequences we might have at the end or at a certain phase of the “Cycle of Destiny” ,and that is possible only when we go in accordance with the purity of nature which can easily be based on the sane use of free will and our some past experiences All that matters is we the human beings should understand the purity of nature as humble high beings..

In conclusion its also ,noteworthy that the Divine Being facilitates quantity of resource, and is Qualitative in resources per His Will to each person , while human being is supposed to show Quality in Deeds only through good intention seconded by making proper choices based on his/her Free-Will..
