Can I opt punjabi with no academic background in the sbjct?

I belong to a Punjabi family but as I have been living in urban area since my childhood and groomed at English medium school , I spoke only Urdu & English from very the beginning . I cannot speak Punjabi fluently in a typical accent but I can understand it easily and read it too. Despite that I like listening to Punjabi folk songs and Sufiana kalam's ... Please Guide Me Should I opt it for 2014 and how much time would be enough for me to get the grip over subject ??

Sure you can opt it. However, you must practice writing it.

PS: You have made this thread in Arabic section which is totally irrelevant. For next time make it to Subject Analysis section or the specific subject you are asking about.
