Default Please tell me policies of Dawn, The News and Daily Times

Aslam Alikum :
I am doing my masters thesis on "The editorial Coverage of Blackwater(Xe) in daily English Newspapers” . I selected “The News” “Dawn” and “Daily Times”, for this purpose. Can anyone tell about the policies of these newspapers? Who is Anti- government , who is pro-government and who is unbiased? If u ppl have any information about my topic please help me.
Thanks.
Regards,
Aqdas Waheed

Default Please tell me policies of Dawn, The News and Daily Times

Aslam-o-Alaikum Dear friend,
As far as my knowledge is concern, Dawn News paper works as an neutral medium.if u examine it u ll find all the things which are really happening.it works neither for the govenment nor against.
However, IF you take the news and examine the the page of Letters to The Editor" you will find it as they are chaunting, indirectly, slogans against government. Moreover, the news is one of the news papers of jung group and the articles which are published in it are most likely to translated from The Jung.
Finally, The Times.it is ever green magazine, published internationally.it doesn't spawn spaces for favourtism.
To sum up, Daily Dawn as well as The times is best.just because they both Dawn and The Times work as neutral.
thanks

I guess no one ll claim to be pro or anti govt. U have to deduce it from ur own observation. I,ve found DAWN n Daily Times unbiased most of the times. Dun know much about The News neither ever read it.
Again this is as per my observation nd u can always consult more seasoned paper readers over this issue in a much better way. But on this particular issue i,ve found these two papers unbiased. Many allegations were put over Govt face coz of its efforts to play down the presence of Foreign intelligence n security agencies operating in country nd at that tym it seemed lyk as if they were unnecessarily criticizing Govt too much. But all those stories published were based upon some facts nd grounds which Govt never dared to challenge nd eventually Govt had to accept the truth
