Default Need help in Sociology!

AoA
I have started preparing Sociology today form Into to Sociology by A.H Taga, my question is, DO I need any other book besides this for preparation?
Second, Should I cover just the topics mentioned in syllabus or should i go through the whole chapter? e.g Individual as a social product, norm and values, cultural patterns, varieties of sub-cultures are short topics in different chapters. Do i have to cover only the topics or the whole chapter?
Thanks in anticipation .

You may consult Sociology by Horton & Hunt or Sociology by J.J Baloch. Studying the whole chapter will help you in solving MCQs in better way. Your concepts will be more clear by reading thoroughly.

Regards,

In the perspective of current paper trend following three books would be all important to secure good score in sociology.
1 Sociology- Abdullah khurram niazi(core book)
2 Sociology- Horton and Hunt
3 social problems of pakistan- DR Mohammad Khalid

Asslam u Alikum!

I do beleive that at least once the whole syllabus should be read by you in order to have grip on basic ideas of topic. But for revision "J.J Baloch's book" is the best.Especially for exam days when you will have not enough time to read the whole material.

@ sidra: It is also a sociology text book and written more in the backdrop of the U.S . It will help, nonetheless. However, CSS preparation is as much about managing time as about reading quality stuff, since we have many subjects to study. Thus, it is advisable to stick to the most relevant sources.

@ all: apart from the books mentioned above, the notes of VU can also help a great deal...

You need not to change your subject, just study the relevent material from those books/notes where the topics are explained in an easy and comprehensive manner. you can study " An introduction to sociology" by Abdul hameed taga, a book having black cover.
