violence is the large refuge of the incompetent.

Salam seniors.
I wrote introduction then thesis statement then defined "incompetent" like individual, institutions and nation states. then violence in the perspective of human rights and mentioned UDHRl, then the hosts of this violence.... human beings from birth to death like sex selective abortions to violenc agnst women then old aged peple. then created realtion between incompetent and violence....... is violence the only option in the hands of incompetent.........
then examples from histroy to current world mentioned the violence against Hazrat Essa RA, hazrat Ibrahim RA, Hazrat Muhammad PBUH that who did violence on these personalities were incompetent.
then Heroshima and Nagashaki, Iraq, Kashmir and arab world. Afghanistan and Taliban. attack on polio team. etc are the examples of imcompetency.
then the reason behind and institutions who can stop these incompetents.

was unable to write conclusion.just one line....... hope our world would be happty an prosperous.

Not a very revolutionary paper but yes it is good.
Three essays from Literature.
One from Education
One on Women
Two essays somehow related to dialogue process (as expected)
Rest from Pol Science, Current Affairs etc.
Its plausible indeed that topics are presented very beautifully repeating old topics in a new way. :)
I would have loved to go for #10.

I am CSS aspirant and would like to appear in 2K15.
In my view the essay was not that difficult. You just need to focus on your own abilities and knowledge and do not go for academies.
This is going to be the real test of the aspirants.
Good Luck Aspirants 2K14.

Last or Large Refuge?

The 10th essay was “Violence is the large refuge of the Incompetent”, this is what was written on question paper but here people are mentioning “Violence is the last refuge of the Incompetent” and one of my friend told me that in some centres the invigilators rectified the topic and asked them to replace large by last but in our centre nobody told us to do so and the aspirants attempted this essay under the heading “Violence is the large refuge of the Incompetent” this happened in different centres of Quetta I don’t know about the rest. Does anybody have information about this issue?
As it is a clear blunder on FPSCs side so those candidates who attempted this essay as large refuge now where they stand? And what should they do?

Silkyoung Saturday, February 15, 2014 07:53 PM

Attempted the third one. Main take: Knowledge production has been historically hostage to the interests of moneyed interests. Rise of centralized education systems more so. Provided 5 main points as why and how privatizing education means, serving the rich. 10 pages. Conclusion and Outline made in great haste. In last five minutes.

Essay attempt

This was my last attempt and found it the worst. I never failed in essay yet this paper has buzzed me to my spine.

I attempted essay of number 6, 'Look to the east for a holistic progress' which proved to be very tricky. I did not attempt it in a typical way rather took it bit philosophical and in sociological perspective. I ignored very important aspects of the essays as most of the people here are talking about ASEAN, Japan, India and China.

Keeping Holistic progress I started off with the essay which runs as follows:

Outline:

1. Abstract
2. Literal and Philosophical meanings of Progress
3. Juxtaposing Human progress with the timeline
4. West Versus East: a comparative analysis

a. Philosophical progress during recent history
b. Political Aspect of the progress
c. Social Life in the East
d. Factor of Religion and Culture in the East

5. Progress that east has made (slower yet holistic)

a. Preserving and perpetuation of Social Institutions
b. Development of Multiethnic societies (Malaysia, India etc)
c. Political upheavals, systematic developments
d. Religion, Morality and Spiritual Growth in the East
f. Philosophical Base of West and East

6. Signature growth of the East
7. We are growers and reason for life- Gandhi about the East
9. Fukuyama's Future of our History
8. Conclusion

a. An overview of eastern nations
b. Concluding remarks

Violence is the last refugee of the incompetent
intro;
When the incompetent finds no possibility to win, he resorts to violence.
Incompetence is the ultimate loser no matter it uses violence or any other harmful method.

1. Global war on terror (The competent party creates the violence and chaos )
2. International policies of China v/s Israel in Palestine and India in Kashmir
3. Bad workman quarrels his tools (a number of instances open to one's general observation in day to day social life)
4 Behavior of In competent a)Student b) Employee c) politician d)Trader, businessman d) Family member

5."the laborer is friend to God"
6. "Allah is with those who remain steady and patient"
7. The most condemned act in religion is that of violence
8. Cowards opt for the path of incompetence and cruelty
missing few paragraphs........

conclusion:

Great Nations win without fighting is simply Dialogue is the best way to combat terrorism. Old wine in a new bottle. I thought most of the people (at least the sane ones) would attempt this essay in this perspective so I dropped the idea

I was tempted to attempt Post-modern ethos- a challenge to the West, its solution given exactly in the next line->Look to the east for a holistic progress! But I dropped this idea too because too much philosophy spoil the broth.

At last I attempted Great Nations taking a position against the topic. My thesis was Nations become great only by fighting and then winning. No winning without fighting. Examples: Rise of Islam, colonial powers bla bla.. Fight is not just traditional warfare but also economic, diplomatic and technological warfare. Realpolitik stuff..
