Default Is privatisation the solution to PIA’s ills?

Cumulative losses of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), which is 87 per cent government-owned, were 76 billion rupees in 2013-2014 and were expected to continue into 2015. The airline is rated poorly (never mind its glorious past) on customer care, in-flight service and timeliness.Based on your constructive arguments, what is the better solution to cop the problems of PIA. Whether Govt is following right policy regarding the privatization or not?

Privatization, denationalization and disinvestment are the same terminologies . if we put a glimpse on history,we will be capable of finding its roots in the great Greece where few functions of government like Army supplies, Tax collection and construction were transferred to the private sector, because Govt was unable to perform such functions smoothly and was failed in it. in my opinion its a positive step that Govt of Pakistan took it.Let me mention here its merits and demerits briefly.

Merits:-

1. We can get incentive, skilled and professional employees.
2. Speedy completion of projects
3. better work frame
4.Better work management
5.Less corruption
6. less red tapism
7. Accountability

Demerits:-

1. Nepotism
2.Interests in the hands of few
3. No check and balance system
4.insecurities of jobs

If the government is unable to discharge it's duties of smooth running of the state machinery, then they should resign. I consider it a very lame excuse that the government is unable to do what it's assigned to, thus privatizing the state owned assets. If, at all, the state assets are to be run by private stakeholders, then it's of no use to elect the government and pay for their huge salaries/expenses.
If, this is so, then, let bureaucracy run the affairs of the state in a way that they regulate the private stakeholders - who eventually run the country.
No place for politicians then.
