Confusion

I heard the address of our president today. He was continuously trying to convince Sindh province for he creation of Dams. As he cleared it out, i think the dams are also beneficial to Sindh then why is Sindh opposing its creation. Are they using Indus water or they only protesting againt this president. Plz clear me that why is only Sindh province against the Dams.

It is not only the Sindh which has apprehensions for dams, NWFP also opposing the dam, even Balochistan also support their view. Sindh Province is not against all dams but only the Kalabagh dam.

i think only politicians r against of president and on the issue of kalabagh dam every one is trying to glow his politics .......... i dont think any one of them is sincear with pakistan or pakistanic polulation

its my openion no one is forced to accept it

well dear there is a matter of concern that why sindh is only against to kalabagh

the othe dams would also stop water nd sindh can have opposition to them

the main issue is not kalabagh only it is only mistrust, nd that should b cleared

Brother Tabassum, I am sorry to step in un-invited. You would think that I am constantly bugging you but I have the answer to the question you raised.

Primarily, Sindh doesn't have faith in existence of surplus water for reservation. If Sindh renounces this stance, it has serious objections to KBD but not BD or SD (KD).

Reasons:
1) Sindh does not trust Punjab. KBD, within the control of Punjab, will ease the mode of water pilferage. (This is what Sindh is against)

2) BD and SD are both carry over dams. They store surplus water.

3) BD and SD don't have any canals in their designs that would divert water to Punjab.

Point me where I am wrong!
