Angry PM Suspends Secretary Interior ! An act of shame & defiance

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani Friday suspended the Interior Secretary Qamar-uz-Zaman Chaudhry.

The Prime Minister took above step following the yesterday’s episode in which the Defence Minister Ahmed Mukhtar was barred from leaving for China by the FIA officials on Thursday.

The Prime Minister has also suspended Additional Director Federal Investigation Agency and 2 inspectors of FIA.

The Premier issued a show cause notice to Qamar-uz-Zaman Chaudhry, directing him to explain his position within the next seven days.

Angry Is this an extreme act of crime?

@Bunko
why do you think that barring a minister from going abroad is such an extreme act of crime, that deserves the removal of the interior secretary?

A real shameful act. The verdict against NRO came from Supreme Court. PM should have learnt to respect SC by now.

The place of corrupt people is behind the bars not in ministries. If PM is suspending officials for doing their duty we look forwards for his dismissal of such a PM!

His name was in Exit Control List so he was barred. This is simple common sense. What sort of explanation the PM wants?

@abari
When Musharaf came he told us that corruption of our political leaders forced him to come to power. Then before leaving he forgave all their corruptions in 'good faith'. How come?

Open mind should not necessarily be illogical as well.

Oh Dear ! I am against those lazy officials who didn't pay their work efficiently because
ECL contains only 54 Names recently posted by NAB after the action taken by PM.
Ahmed Mukhtiyar is not in that list neither any Minister.

It is a Really shameful act for ourself that our authority including seniors Officers like Secretary and Directors were blind and deaf to the real facts and without any confirmation restricted our Defense Minister to go abroad to have a deal with China for the welfare of PAK-SINO relation.

PM in his recent Press briefing said," It is a duty of Government to Issue ECL list and we did it and it contains 54 names excluding Ahmed Mukhtiyar " It was media behind all this, they without any confirmation started creating hype by taking some famous names in ECL list without confirming it with concerned authority or from horse mouth.

I am still unable to understand what you are talking about? How can you compare the case of Baloach leaders with these illetrate, boorish politicians? PM is not doing anything good for Baloachs, rather he is just creating a safe haven for his cronies. Don't talk about Musharaff. He must be hanged first before initiating any talks on Baloachistan issue.
I am a true Pakistani and I don't endorse any activities that are aimed to damage the national cohesion , but I still think that corrupt military and political junta is reponsible for the current situation.
