whats wrong in calling God as Allah!

aoa dear members i want to bring ur attention towards this issue.malaysia is after depriving non muslims to say Allah instead of God in thier prayers.don t u think its another case of over cociousness for the farm rather than composition???leaving fandamental values behind,running for the hollow ideas?please comment

Well if they are non-Muslims then of course it is stupid of the Malaysian government to dictate them the way they should call their God.God,Allah,Yahweh all are names for the same entity.Its just about language. If Malaysian language has some other word for God than Allah,probably that could serve as an excuse for changing the names of certain religious lords to one. Like in Arabic language Bible, God is translated as Allah,in Persian as khuda and stuff.Allah is synonymous with Muslims but basically its the name of God in Arabic language.But how would a Muslim feel if they are asked to worship God instead of Allah? of course bad...although these are the names symbolizing the same entity still it is against our religious esteem to go for any other name but Allah. same is the case for a person belonging to any other religion.This is an extremely deplorable step taken by Malaysian government.

but a very possible result this thing will create is the increased number of people converting to other religions leaving Islam...it will be easy to address the god question to people...and the amount of funding certain religions are putting to keep their faith alive....for them this will go a long way...many people will convert to Christianity and so because it will be easy to spread the religion once the language problem will be solved.

thnk u for ur worthy post black avanger but i do feel i should clarify the issue in hand.we are conservative when it comes to allowing freedom to non believers to comprehend islam.like malaysian gvt who is averse to allowing a catholic magazine to use the word Allah for God,n emphasize that the word Allah can b used by muslims only,they are in fact closing the window of oppurtunity as well as furthering the cause of sectarianism.my point is that why muslims are after the bare ideas n heedless to the core idealogy of islam which emphsize on the use of reason n wisdom.sometimes we have to mingle with others before we induce them to dig into our idealogy by our manners n still later into appriciating n finally accepting it.Regards noor
