Gunmen storm Jinnah Hospital, 12 dead

LAHORE: At least eight people were killed when armed men stormed the emergency ward of Jinnah Hospital, Medical Superintendent said Monday.

According to Geo correspondent, two gunmen entered the emergency ward and opened indiscriminate fire, killing at least dozen people, and injuring several others.

According to Geo, three to four guards and attendants are among the dead.

The firing is still underway while police have cordoned off the area.

It may be reminded here that injured of Garhi Shahu and Model Town attacks were under treatment in the Jinnah Hospital.

verily, the incident is condemnable but what about the statement of interior minister Rehman malik who said that he had no information regarding an accused attacker's(wounded) presence in jinnah hospital........how deligent he is..

it was a very sad incident.
Thanks to Allah that terrorist did not enter wards and did massacre.otherwise death toll would have been havoc.
how can one secure such a big place?
in 2 days police has caught more than 15 terrorists from different places.each terrorist has a different background. they are deeply rooted in our society. they just come from different places to lahore.
but weapons and other services are provided by people from lahore.who are these people?why it is so easy?
if hospitals where treatment is given and life is saved,is struck by terrorists,where will one go?its a horrible situation to imagine.
role of media in such situations needs to be reviewed seriously

Very very sad incident indeed!govt has decided to lauch a military operation in the four districts of Punjab..Muzaffargarh,D.G.Khan,Bwp,Rahim Yar Khan..Terroists involved in Jinnah Hospital incident belonged to these areas..now,south Punjab is in great danger..

operation in southern punjab is not going to help much.
these terrorist come to lahore and find all weapons and all kind of help from here.lahore is now full of terrorist.
what are the basic elements starting all this terrorism? government need to reach at roots and destroy it once for all.
southern punjab then northern punjab ? are we going for military operation in all areas?intelligence needs to be very active to stop such activities.

I think operation should be launched in South Punjab..im from there and i know there are so many medressahs and they have no scrutiny system..my one cusion living in Bahawalpur was impressed by one terrorist orgainisation'(Lashkr-e-Tayyaba)teachings at that time when was studying in Sadiq PUblic school..he later went to Kashmir for Jehad,where he achieved his desired goal-"Shahdat"-in 2000..these networks are still working there...however,it would be a very very difficult task for govt to perform..

operation in southern Punjab will not help more if operation were solution of these problems then America could control it all insurgency........operation are not solution ,go through other solution..! ! !

what will come position of punjab when operation launched its a game to bring dictatorships in pakistan to work against of democracy operation is not a right idea , its time to how solve this problem , if we look other parts where operation is going on what are the desires of those people who killed in those operation who are innocent people. in my idea operation is good plan ,
