Power of Media in Defaming Pakistan and Creating Terror.

Our media has become excessively pessimist. Some of the anchor persons and some of the TV Channels are launched for targeting some particular persons / institutions. Some of the channels are funded internally while others externally for vested interests. Even positive steps are not encouraged, and non-issues are covered for longer period. Some of the sensitive issues are probed by Media which do not fall in the jurisdiction of mass media. Media has violated its right of freedom of speech at many events. Biasness, yellow journalism, and lack of professionalism in media have become norm. Objectivity, confidentiality, privacy, impartiality and sanctity of information have largely been compromised. Media has stepped in the shoes of blackmailers, and fighters. Media has tried to overcome some spheres to prove its power. It has created situations for clash of authorities.

Please have a look over following documentary. Keeping in view these comments and this simple but eye opening documentary you are invited to share your views regarding the negative role of media in the current situation of wounded Pakistan.

Respected Raz,

I went through your post and tried to find out the phelosophical and logical resoning for this deficiency.

I concluded all of my thought-session as "Attitude matters a lot".

Attitude relates to the civilization, culture, religion and most importantly circumstances.

We belong to the rich land which ever been considered as Golden Sparrow; and also reason for consistant foreign occupancy.

This characteristic contributed a lot to develop our attitude which was obedience with excessive slavery.

This type of nature always behaves like a biased and complex manner with loads of hypocricy; If some extent of power is shared with such a group, it will react the same as you highlighted in your post for media.

Media belongs to us and we belong to the land; attitude forces us to misuse our power or authority without sense of responsibility.

You may also find the comlpicated things in our homeland like "Democratic Dictatorship" and "Militant Democracy".

We always lack in Purity which was the prime element to establish institues to run the state.

Media has recently emerged as a big power and they have also the same complicated problem.

They are misusing their authority with a least sense of responsibility until their destination would be achieved.

With loads of apologies, I know the bitter answer of their destination i.e. Media's share in state ...

This game of allegation will continue until they would be provided the assurance of their share by the current stakeholders.

You have truly described that Media is not projecting the true issues i.e. still "Roti, Kapra aur Makaan" and now a days "Jaan" the prime need.

They will be silent spectators when they get their share; it s a bitter approach which might have serious concerns by your learned side.

Yes, these are the facts and are becoming undeniable.

MEDIA channels in pakistan has become NOISE instead of VOICE.With the exception of few channels.

NO media ETHICS and MORALITY.Now a days it seems they also have lost social sense.The blind race of getting the news irrepective of the fact what it contains and how will it effect the masses.

You switch on the channels and keep on moving until find National geographic.

May Allah save our land from multi faced hidden and projected enemies.(ameen)

no one can deny the power of media. it reflects the mirror image of the society. In Pakistan media is becoming uncontrolled. Pakistani media is showing negative image of Pakistan. Media is a source of information, people think about the things as these are represented to them. if media will represent, as it is representing now, the things negatively, the people will get negative image of the things.It makes the people psychologically emotional. To get influence over the other institutions media is violating the regulations.Media considers itself the fourth pillar of Pakistan. To make Pakistan prosper, media should have to show things positively. Pakistan is rich with natural resources and talent. media should represent these thing, although some anchor persons have positive approach toward Pakistan like Dr. moeed peerzada etc who are doing good work, but most of the anchor have only critical behavior. why don't they think to draw positive image of Pakistan in the world? why don't they encourage our talent and talented persons? dear fellows! Please think over it. Only you, the young generation, can make Pakistan progressive and prosper.

yes,You are right,media is only showing darkest side of the picture..our youth has become pessimisitic...brain drain in our country is due to this negative propaganda by some Anchor persons...(Particularly Kamran Khan,Shahid Masood,Jawaid Choudhary)...Geo proved Pakistan as a Terrorist state after Mumbai attacks when its team went to Freed kot in search of Ajmal Qasab...INDIA TV was telecasting again and again this news that "Pakistani Channel itself Proves that Ajmal Qasab is involved in Mumabai attacks..."...Geo'owner is the Richest person of Pakistan(1st Richest person of Pak,)

its right that media is playing roll against persnol person....... as we know the urdu colomisst Ansar Abbasi,,, who always write articles against of leader's..
and media is pleaying red egg roll.... as we know in pakistan if one issued become solved but by the greace of media two more issues come and they making loosing the image of pakistan,,, if just look around of pakistan.iran,chaina, they are also facing problems but they have bound there media in a limit and still any one no what is going on, in all over the world every one know what is going in pakistan,

it is the media which has been and still is striking terror in our society we don't have a mature media rather ours is a wanderer media. terrorist strikes are also usual in INDIA but her media does not flog such incidents to death. Whenever any bomb blast takes place in pakistan our media provides full live coverage to it and try to show that as if we are at war .
