Hello to all Members

You all know that Obama sacked his top military general, Commander of US and NATO forces in Afghanistan..An example of Civilian Control over military...I wonder is it possible in Pakistan....Can our President take such a decision ???

well it is a sort of dumb founded assumption , McChrystal was fired on some other sort of grounds , read his articles and read some thing about his personality , i had the chance to listen to his interview on bloomberg , and also read about petraus and his past record in Iraq , he is a real reek , no doubt our president can do it , but u also need some president like the on the U.S has . In fact we would not have been in such a situation if we had someone half the size of the president the U.S has and by the way Qyani is doing a good job pray that he stays for at least the coming 4 to 5 years because you never know what the person waiting in line is thinking .

Civilian control is good but i needs the political situation suitable to such overtures , democracy has not worked for us in the past 60 years and chances are it will not work in the future and it has some inherent flaws . The ideal originated in the west according to there culture and norms ( read the history of U.S specially the the period from 1750 to 1880 and u will realize how it developed behind the means western mind), Ideology can be the same but the underlying principles need to be changed to suite our needs and requirement according to our culture, norms and ideology .

Obama was furious on the comments given by the general. It shows Obama is very keen to crush Al-qaeeda in Afghanistan. But, Stanley was frustrated too with the Afghan war policy. It seems that NATO and other allied forces wont be able to leave the Afghan battle ground before july 2011. The situation is getting worse day by day.
