No its not that Geo lacks patriotism.Geo is just against dictators.And it can go to any limit to defame them.

And plz dont act like mullas who see Israel and India behind every single activity.Comparison of Geo logo with Indian and Israeli flags is just nonsence.

Hatred blinds us.Its true.We are blind.

For God's sake leave those nations and concentrate on your own short comings.

I am against Geo.They are leaving no stone unturned to accuse Musharraf and are defaming him continuously.

but Geo is patriotic.Its Pakistani channel.Our very own.

In latin they say..”quis custodiet ipsos custodes” who will watch the watchman OR who will guard the guradians?..

So there should be check and balance on every medium of media but I am of the view that single channel cant destabilize government,no matter how much it is fragile.Media is still an infant,it will take few years to attain the age of maturity. Some times some breaking news make me laugh when it is reported like this way,

Quetta main dhmaka suna gaya jagha ka taayun kia ja raha hai” and after an hour of panic the reports are amended as

“Dhamaka slynder ki patney ki waja say howa”…………

I agree with Gul in this point that comparison of Geo logo with Israel & India seems illogical.
In this way, We can make anything resembling with them or so.....

They are doing bad & ruining all the ethics of media but without proof we must not do it.

why i pasted the clips was owing to two reasons;

1)to bring the aspirants to a new arena of analyzing our media.and it didn,t mean that the clips were absolutely true. but these could be true.

2)to reveal my personal observations regarding what i observed at several occasions.
when hazbollah was attacked by israel ,hamid mir and a lady anchor person of geo called the hizbollah fighters as terrorists

geo is a joint ventue of an american jewish company and mir khalil ul rehman group.

ignored coverage of freedom flotila.
no coverage of rapid israeli attacks against gaza people.
ignored kashmir movement. if any programme was arranged, mostly, jklf
leaders were highlighted.
VoA programme on geo tv.
continuous praise of admn. of pak army .and a contrast game b/w army rule and current democratic govt.
why don,t they project a political substitute of current govt. except mr.nawaz and mr. kiyani?
still, you can deny these observations because i havn,t given any result or final argument on that.
but, the points are thought-provoking.

------most of the officers and educated people i met with, prefer other channels to watch than geo.

now, contrast the following:
1]coverage of dunya news vs geo news
2]pace of propaganda of other channels vs
geo,s propaganda
3]amplification of violance on other channels vs
that on geo
4] when stock market was in stable conditions
during global economic crunch, geo
displayed a beeper in huge red colour as breaking news for six hours;
"stock market main record mandee".

and the result was that one of the survivals of mortgage fell a prey to geo propaganda.
why stock exchange?
she does not belong to any political party or ethnic group.

(this is just an observation and not the judgement).

Nobody can forget those days dear..Geo was the first private News Channel thatswhy it gained popularity but now with the emergence of number of other news channels,People are getting aware about the wrong doings of Geo Tv...Geo even didnot give any importance to the deal of Mr Nawaz...it didnot give any importance to the news when a child died in lhr hospital due to the seucrity of Mr CM Punjab..:..Geo is a JEW tv..time will prove that.

the way they support our army is worth appreciating.they boost their morale.if they were siding the jews or working on jew or indian agenda then their first attack should be Army,our security forces but not.
they support our army,navy and air force.

i am proud of geo.but their support for nawaz sharrif and hatred for musharraf is not good but again no private channel will ever support a dictator.
becaz no one loves his captor.
