Musharraf seeks apology for mistakes in power

Friday, October 01, 2010

LONDON: Former president Gen. (Retd.) Pervez Musharraf Friday admitted that political mistakes were committed in the twilight years of his regime and sought apology from Pakistani nation for the same.

“These mistakes caused damage to the nation,” he said while addressing a program held here to formally announce launching of his party – All Pakistan Muslim League (APML).

“All Pakistan Muslim League to wage jihad against poverty and illiteracy,” Pervez Musharraf vowed, adding the time for talks is over and now it is time to act.

He invited all Pakistanis to come forward and join hands with APML and strengthen it.

He said his party manifesto will be governed by three documents – the Holy Qura’an, Quaid’s 11 August 1947 Constituent Assembly address and 12 April 1949 Objective Resolution by Liaquat Ali Khan.

He described nepotism and corruption as the biggest curse for any society and vowed to rid the country of the same.

“Internal and external threats will be dealt with strongly and the fight against terrorism will continue till the elimination of this scourge,” the APML Chief pledged.

He said GDP growth will be raised to over 6 percent, referring to 8 percent growth achieved during his government.

“I believe in freedom of media and will support it thoroughly…only those are afraid of media who have got dirty laundry to hide,” he said.

Today I announce starting my political career and joining the All Pakistan Muslim League, he said.

“I want to begin my political career with clean slate.”

musharraf ka daur beshak behtare tha economically, but politically and morally musharraf was intahai buzdil group.

1) musharaf ne supreme court se wada kia tha e PCO nahin lai ja, after take over in 1999, magar darpook ne 2000 maen phir PCO kr lia aur wada toor dia judges ke sath aur kuch kudges like siqidi ko nikal dia........

2) 3 saal supreme court se in unform liye, but again darpook ne General elections se dar kar sirf refendom ka dramma rachaya

3) Wardi apne wade ke mutabaq nahin utari 2003 maen, itna darpook tha ke use mehsoos huwa ke uniform ke begair wo power maen nahin reh sakta..

4) Molvion (MMA) ka moun band krne ke liye army ke zameen fazal ul rehman (bezameer mama deen ka) ko dae di.;;;;;;;;musharaf ko kia mulak ka, use sirf iqtadar chahyee,,,,,,

5) CJ march 2007 maen iqtadar ke raste maen aya use hata diya,

6) CJ ko 2007 maen remove kr dia, sirf iss liye ke supereme court wanted a constitutional decision about his candidature in uniform.

7) America se achi bheek managane ke ilawa koi mutalba apna nahin manwa saka?

8) Apni iqtadar ke hawas maen benazir ko NRO ke zariye sara mulak baich dia..

Itne darpook bande ke siasat maen koi zaroorat nahin...
Mera analysis hae ke Musharraf ne political party sirf is liye banai hae ke London maen siasi pana mangi ja sake like MQM leaders...

waise be musharraf ke sath politiciens to haen nahin,,,Kaaf league sath chor jai baqi koi politicien us ke sath nahin............

Imran khan ko try krna chahyee

Default Apology and Sorry has no room in pakistan

Now a days people commit mistakes and just say sorry and then it become a habit to repeat mistakes because they seek shelter of just 5 characters word SORRY. now i have an advice for PM that he should come to Pakistan and just face the supreme court rather than asking apologies from the people of Pakistan. Let all the people of Pakistan see what crimes did he commit and what should be his punishment.

Default Acknowledge the due!

No doubt some mistakes of Musharraf can never be forgiven but one should keep in mind that he spent a very long time in power so some mistakes are committed by any one in such a lengthy duration naturally.

In politics and at such a high level, its not an easy task to accept one's mistakes and apologize for it so he should be given due respect in this regard. As long as his real participation in politics is concerned, we all know that it is already filled with corrupt and morally-dead people so Musharraf, being a citizen of Pakistan and bringing a new tradition of accepting one's mistakes, should not be discouraged because if people won't accept him then he'l never get power - Simple!

Moreover, i would like to add here that the number of Pakistanis are in favour of Musharraf and like the policies he followed. I, myself, didn't like him but do consider him an option for Pakistan because previously tried PPP and PML-N seem to have no new agenda.

I spoke considering that I can speak under Article 19 of Constitution of Pakistan 1973. However, criticism is welcomed

The era of Musharraf was much better than the present setup. Only few things were done on wrong side & those were so much wrong that they simply rolled over Musharraf.

Now coming back to politics for Musharraf is not very easy & this is his point scoring only. These apologies can not make it possible that people forget Lal Masjid issue.

All people make mistakes, but it takes alot to confess those mistakes and fair enough!

No doubt the time Musharaf was in power was not simple. Tackling with 9/11 and other issues was not enough.

And the person is good who learns from his mistake and does not repeat them again!

Does any political party (whoever was in power) had a courage to admit mistakes....

Does any political party has a clear agenda or a manifesto?

Does any political party was able to bring prosperity in the country?

Does any political party has the courage to eliminate nepotism and corruption?

Musharaf siezed the power from the political set-up but was it democratic in the true sense?

Musharaf was a dictator and in our political democratic set up there are many small regional dictators.... who also dictate where to throw votes etc.

During power of MUsharaf, many politician supported him ..... and many judges validated his rule for their personal benefits.

Returning to politics and having success in siezing power would be extremely difficult for Musharaf. But people of Pakistan will keep voting for the most famous political parties ..... who have already monopolised the country!

Default Too Little, Too Late!!!!

The best way to apologize for that man is to stay away from Pakistan and politics.
Even better he should face the court n ask for a fair trial but that would be too optimistic on our part.
So he should realize that he has done enough damage n now he should LEAVE US BE.
Pakistan would be better off without the likes of such retired generals who with new dentures n hair dye, believe that they still have a shot.
God, that guy still hasn't learned any lesson.Phew
