Default Hajj corruption and our religious spirit

Pakistan is winning medals in corruption, these days. No real picture of the corruption is visible on the screen. There is atmosphere of distrust between the GOVT and the PUBLIC. Media is not playing its role, as a bridge. Each immature act of media, is giving, a new spirit to the RULERS, to win the race of corruption. Some TV Channels criticize GOVT, in a wrong way, which show their biased views. The political elite is taking advantage of this immature behavior of media, the truth being distorted by them, in reaction.
The current HAJJ CORRUPTION gave a severe blow to the Confidence of GOD-FEARING people. The Religious Affairs Ministry considered itself, exempted from the current mismanagement during HAJJ.
The Federal Minister for HAJJ & AWQAAF, HAAMID SAEED KAZMI, talked to a television Channel, In his reaction to a statement by AAZAM SWATI, (Information Technology Minister), KAZMI said, "ye mery khilaf sazish hai, kyun k kuch Ministries Khatm ho rahi hain, aor sab mujy blame kar rahe hain." These are the words of a Minister, who was given RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS. His task was to do necessary job for the HAJJES and their ACCOMUDATION, once in a year. No doubt, he may be a nice man. But, it is a moment of, utmost perplexion, that how, he is running his ministry. Whether he has, hold over the whole officials and the agencies, involved in HAJJ management or not.
25000 Rs. the corrupt MAFIA snatched per HAJI. The matter was disclosed to the world by the Media. The GOVT has decided to give 250 Saudi Riyals, back to each HAJI.
The points to ponder, whether,
i. Giving this money back to HAJEES will restore the true Image of PAKISTAN, in the World or NOT...?
ii. Why ministry is more important than the welfare and service of People?
iii. Why Media lost its trust image and become controvercial?
iv. Will the people of PAKISTAN, dare to go for HAJJ with open heart?
These all questions are debatable and solution needed for them, with best arguments.

Corruption have been keep on increasing in Pakistan with every passing hour, moving towards the new heaights and make new ever records since a couple of years. And now we are standing at number 34th from the previous position of 42nd in the global ranking of corrupt countries( According to the latest report of transparency international). Another Marvelous Achievement of this So Called Awami and Jamhori hakomat…..
What else can we expect of this PPP government, with the internationally recognized king of corruption as their chairman, and who are back into Pakistani political scene by the black law NRO, the basic objective of which was to legitimize the culture of corruption in Country?
But the worst part is that they havnt even spare the religious affairs out of the corruption...... Feel sorry for my country to be leaded, governed and looted by such poor souls...........

More than 50% pakistani, who have their vote or able to vote, do not vote because they don't trust on candidates. the remaining are uneducated or live in feudal system and they have to vote to survive. It does not mean that we are corrupt, to some extent you are right we have a lot of black sheep but not all.

Default Corruption in Hajj congregation

It is very unfortunate fact that the ministry for religious affairs has been convicted for corruption from 2500 hajjis during the Hajj congregation in Saudi Arabia.
The media has disclosed the fact after the complaints both from hajjies and unidentified letter from saudi official for the masses in corruption.

The reality behind this scene is that we as a nation do not own the proceedings. The government property we consider as personal property. We are far away from pure nationalistic approach as it is followed by developed countries.
The development of the nation only prevails with sustainable approach towards sincerity, dedication and commitment with unending efforts for the prosperity of the country.

We should remain optimistic and perform our role whenever required.

I absolutely agree with your statement.

I strongly disagree with this comment. With all due respect what norms are you talking about? Would you or any other friend like to elaborate? Had we adopted the Western culture we would have become an Asian Tiger long ago. Cleanliness, punctuality, honesty, loyalty, inventions, scientific research and development, educational reforms, near 100 % literacy rate, democratic discipline, rule of law, excellence in sports freedom of speech, protection of constitutional rights, accountability, fair trial, and equality in diversity etcetera belongs to the Western Culture which makes them superior than us. And yea it is absolutely wrong to say that Western society is modern. They have advanced into post-modern era long ago.

And what the nation is doing? Who imposed these leaders? It is not just our politicians that are eating away the rights of others. Majority of us are doing this. As Shahzad Roy says in the song "Laga Reh" that "Nek wo hai jisse moka nahi mila". We are certainly living in a messy place which we ourselves have engineered. Nobody else but we ourselves are to be blamed. We must learn to realize and accept our own follies instead of blaming on others. We must now learn to take responsibility of our own actions.

cheers,
floydian
